To ask your thoughts on young men becoming adult film actors?

For the past couple decades there's been a lot of discussion and even documentaries etc about young girls/women going into the porn industry (or more recently OnlyFans etc). But not so much about young men (thinking 18-25 sort of age range).

How do you feel about it? The same way as girls and women? To be clear, I'm not talking about men who are coerced or trafficked into porn. I'm talking about those who choose to do it, either for the money or because they think they'll enjoy it for whatever reason. How would you feel if your young adult son ventured into porn/camming versus your young adult daughter?

It’s a difficult topic I think. On one hand if it is truly the choice of a young male or female then that’s up to them, and there’s no doubt there’s a lot of money in it if they ‘make it’. However with that comes a lot of objectification especially if you’re female. Plus it is something that’ll never go away because it’s on the internet. I think people tend to focus on the female because they are what appeals to the male gaze.

my son is only 12 but if he came to me at 18 and said he is interested in starting an onlyfans or something akin to that, then I would have a sit down and chat to him about it, to make sure it’s something he wants to do for certain. Obviously I can’t force his decision when he’s 18, but I would want him to ensure he knows all the risks.

I would advise both my son and daughter against it equally. But if they’re grown adults and it’s through their own free will it’s not illegal so what can anyone do?

It’s a fantasy for some but from what I’ve read(mostly cosmopolitan articles)the reality is pretty grim. Most of them end up sexually dysfunctional as they have to control themselves for hours on end. They end up with numb penises and are unable to climax. Apparently there’s a fluid that production companies buy that simulates ejaculate.

They get paid less and if they want to work they have to take any work they can get, gay or straight regardless of their own orientation.

So pretty much like the girls really.
