Are women generally much more reluctant to perform rimming compared to receiving it? What do you think are the reasons if so?

I've not conducted a scientific study or anything, but from my own personal experience and what I've read from others, women aren't as keen on it as men seem to be. I enjoy receiving, but I make excuses not to do it to my DP. The thought of putting my tongue in his bum makes me boak. I won't do it even if he's just hopped out of the shower. Are others on MN more keen on it than I am?

Maybe they don't rim their husbands because they're rimming the milkman instead! 🤣

He actively seems to enjoy doing it to me. Will ask if he can or just start doing it during oral. I’m never reciprocating though 🙈

I’ll do it when he asks, only very occasionally will I do it I requested, it’s not my favourite thing to do but it doesn’t make me boak. My biggest issue is I have a small tongue so I struggle to breath when I’m doing it. Getting rimmed doesn’t really do much for me either although sometimes out of the blue I find it very enjoyable.

I had an ex who was massively into rimming me. And my OH had an ex who was really into him rimming her. I have sometimes thought our 2 exes should have got together 😂

It's not something I have ever been inclined to do but then it's also not something I've ever wanted to receive either. While I am happy to both give and recieve oral sex, rimming has never interested me and my husband has never asked for it.

I can take it or leave it, didn't do much for me, the ex loved being rimmed though

Interesting question. Can understand why women don't especially like It, depends on how hairy the guy is, how clean, etc. Much easier for men to enjoy and kind of a natural extension from going down on a woman/your partner, much more difficult for women to do, to be honest.

Love having it done to me, enjoy doing it (but wouldn't do it to any old random bloke).

Like receiving, I'm ok with giving to female partners, if asked, but wouldn't like it with men. Hairy, smell different.

Work around I've found for that is to use cling film with lube on the him side - he gets the sensation, I get the reassurance that I've got a barrier between us.
