Oragasim normal length

Momononoyoooo · 05/08/2025 07:05

Not sure if I am in the right section or how to title this. But my DH takes a while to Orgasim and then after he does his release goes on for minutes. I don't mean the feeling as such but the semen coming out. I have honestly no idea if that is normal and what that means.
We are TTC so wondering if that is normal to have "so much" or it to go on for so long. If it has an impact on fertility either way?
Any ideas
Many thanks!

I have never had a man continue ejaculating for minutes. I find it is more seconds with a few spurts, although quantity can vary. If minutes, would be like a waterfall 😂

weathervane1 · 05/08/2025 14:32

Your husband is very lucky (in my opinion as a man). I'd love to orgasm for an extended period but typically it's a matter of a few spurts, a dribble or two and that's it. All over in five seconds I guess. By the sounds of it, your husband might have hyperspermia which, as the name implies, leads to a large quantity of semen being released. Even so, it's more associated with ejaculation of ten to twenty seconds, not several minutes. So, to answer your question, it's outside of the 'normal' range - and I'm envious 😂

Momononoyoooo · 05/08/2025 15:34

Thank you for your responses. Just to clarify it is not at the same "speed" initial few are fast and then it slows down and it kinda just dribbles out slowly but it is a lot and it takes a few mins to be completely "empty".
He does have delayed ejaculation so not sure if linked. He can not orgasim for at least 10-15mins it varies. But it takes a while so maybe it builds up?

Is this something a Dr will investigate? I find Drs do nit take make urological health seriously.

I'd like to think that a doctor would help but I'm not sure they will consider it to be a problem. I think I'd try someone more specialist such a urologist. Maybe send an email in the first instance to see what they say.

You can’t just email urologists for advice in the UK!

Gymbunny2025 · 05/08/2025 18:43

What Makes you think it’s impacting your fertility? Do you mean he’s not hard when he orgasms?

Smithey588 · 05/08/2025 22:53

Not gonna lie, I have semen jealousy! I don’t produce anything and sometimes (not always!) wish I did!

ThatDaringEagle · 06/08/2025 02:09

I suppose this may be a symptom of something, so maybe it's worth getting it investigated on that basis. But that's a really tenuous maybe tbh.

I can't see why this would impact on your fertility, or ability to conceive, if anything, it should slightly enhance it imho.

Your DH sounds like he has a rare natural talent that would make him a great candidate for a prime role in a porn movie.... so, Dirk Diggler move over, cos here comes 'sperm a plenty' to give the ladies what they're really looking for...... :)

Had no idea that was an option. Thank you so much

When he went to the GP about lasting too long and taking to long to climax they didn't want to help! They didn't even do a physical exam they asked him some vague questions. He self referred to a urologist eho said it is all psychological again no FLIPPING physical examination. No blood tests nothing.

Just wondering if the large amount means it isn't the beat quality. From a quick google search after someone mentioned about excessive amounts, it says the sperm anount mayne a lot less it is linked to fertility issues and even niscarriage!!!

Thank you for all the responses.

This made me LOL
My husband is the most shy and reserved man I know. This visual is hilarious

Without being too graphic does it spurt out or just dribble?

if it has no impact on his fertility would it be an issue for him (and you?)

MorrisonsPlatter · 06/08/2025 07:49

Ten to fifteen minutes is not delayed ejaculation!

TomorrowNeverKnows · 10/08/2025 15:54

I "suffer" very similar symptoms. I have discussed with a nurse i knew that worked in sexual health and as another posted it could by hyperspermia. Producing large amounts of ejaculate can be counter productive for fertility (think less concentrated) however I had no problem with it affecting conception and fathered 3 children.
Now why I said suffer...the first 6-8 spurts feel good (30secs) but then the amount ejaculated reduces until you're dry cumming and this can go on for around 5 mins. Towards the end it feels like suffering groin strain and its hard to regulate breathing (like exhaustion from doing sit ups). I find it helps with woman on top for orgasm as its easier to control the spasms and it helps with breathing. The other problems relates to partners who are averse to mess especially for HJ or BJ.

If I orgasmed for 15 minutes, I don’t think I’d see that as a problem requiring medical attention! 😂

It initially is quick for a few seconds and then it just dribbles out and "leaks out" and it is not painful at all the entire time. But he says after a while oh still coming out. So no pain just a lot.
We are TTC been 3 months but we are both newring our 40s so assume it will take some time die to age etc. But this mayne an added things. As we are over 35 we can TTC 6 months before getting diagnostics and refferals done. So thats what a we plan to do if things don't happen. And I assume they take a sperm sample and check all the stuff looks normal.

Ahaaa interesting. Thank you for sharing. And glad it didn't affect your fertility. But ouch is there anything that can be done? Muscle relaxants? No pain with DH at all. He only says it hurts if things don't slow down, if you get me.

Easier if on his back and try changing his breathing into a pant- short quick breaths- it's a mood killer but helps! Good luck
