Sex still hurts nearly 11 weeks after CS

I was induced at 39 weeks due to DS meassuring on the larger side. I had my waters broke on the labour ward and fast forward 16 hours later i wasn’t progressing past 5cm and baby’s heart rate was up and down so ended in an emergency c-section. Recovery from the section was quite tough the first week but following that it was easier than i thought(for me, everyone’s different ik) and was back driving around the 3 week mark. We first attempted PIV around 4 weeks as i was feeling up to it and foreplay beforehand but the pain was unbearable. I’m now nearly 11 weeks pp and we have had sex a couple of times since but the pain when DP first goes in still hasn’t got any better since, after a few minutes it’s okay, should i be speaking with GP about it or does anyone have any tips on how to make it feel more ‘normal’?

Are you using plenty of lube?

Where is the pain? I have had 4 c sections so have a lot of scar tissue inside. Sometimes when my period is imminent, I feel a bit of discomfort around my scar from the inside and that can make sex slightly uncomfortable. I also get this around ovulation. But do go to your GP.

First baby- 9cm and emergency CS because baby's heart rate. Had discomfort during sex for first 3 months !
Second baby- planned CS, had an amazing sex 6weeks after, no pain, no discomfort.
I strongly believe it depends on cervix opening, even if you didn't have a vaginal birth.

Might be worth asking your GP about oestrogen cream if you think dryness is a problem? Pretty common after birth/when still breastfeeding. Also it’s still very early days and will come right eventually :)
