Hiding sex toys and outfits

DippingAToeIn · 01/05/2025 12:47

Just wondering how everyone stores their sex toys and outfits to keep them private? If my kids are anything like I was as a kid, they will be secret snoopers when I'm out of the house, so I have my toys in a locked box in my wardrobe. I have some quite risqué outfits which aren't locked away but I'm hoping they wouldn't bother to look amongst my clothes. I worry I might accidentally scar them for life if they saw the contents of my toy box 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Ah, should have clarified. I'm a single parent. So it's when they're at their Dad's that I play with my partner. We don't live together. xx

I ended up buying a luggage set 😯

Voyager54 · 01/05/2025 15:19

You could lock them in a suitcase.

JJZ · 01/05/2025 16:19

Good idea to keep them locked away.

When my sister was a teenager, she spent the night at her friend’s house. Her friend’s parents were away this particular night.

They went hunting as kids do, and found everything…including photos and videos of what they liked to get up to!

For some reason, my sister ended up bringing some of the photos home with her and when her friend’s dad found out he had to come round and collect them from my mum 😂. What’s more embarrassing is that my mum and her dad had been at school together when they were kids.

So yes, good idea to lock stuff like that away if you think your kids might find them.

ASortOfTable · 01/05/2025 16:20

Single parent too, I don’t have much (should probably get more stuff) but I keep my sex toy in my drawer in a discreet box which is at the back of the drawer, my son isn’t the snoopy type luckily

GigiAnnna · 01/05/2025 17:46

Mine are in my bedside drawer underneath other items. I've taught my kids not to go in there. They don't really go in my room unless I'm in there.

Gymbunny2025 · 01/05/2025 18:22

I think exactly this too!! We don’t have much storage in our bedroom (have a separate dressing room where I wouldn’t feel comfortable keeping anything). So I use bedside table. But it’s not ideal. And yep I was a snooper as a kid too 🙈

any ideas would be great!

I have a locked chest where my toys are! I bought it online. And then some lingerie hanging up in my wardrobe. My more risqué outfits are in a bag in my wardrobe but I should probably lock them away, lol..

Hi Op your post got me thinking today. We have a bit of adult dress up but currently little ones that don’t route so your dilemma is coming our way. I had a good Google and couldn’t find many solutions for lockable clothes bags.

So in the spirit of us chaps being useful on here I’ve just managed to make a lockable dress up bag.

I used a black Jeff Banks suit bag and found a clothes hanger with an a frame structure. I attached a key ring to the A bar and then put it back in the suit bag. A standard suit case padlock will now fit through the hole in the zip and attach to the key ring making the suit bag lockable from prying eyes. Just moved our collection into it .

Thats got to be the least sexy post ever lol

Hahaha this is fantastic! On the contrary, a practical solution can be very sexy!
This is a great idea, thank you for sharing ☺️

I store mine in a glass display cabinet in our living room.

Can you hang your outfits as usual but then cover them with a winter coat or a dress?

Years ago as a teenager, I used to babysit for a single lady who 'hid' her sex books and videos (yes it was that long ago) on the top shelf of the bookcase. They were all turned the wrong way so of course I had to look!

Aishabibi · 04/05/2025 18:26

I have 2 in a small box in my bedside table and some larger ones in a locked box on the top shelf of the wardrobe. Those only come out when fully alone as they are much noisier!

Reidwood · 05/05/2025 11:39

@Aishabibi nothing wrong with being loud noisy , it’s passion…..enjoy!✊🏿

ToadRage · 10/05/2025 20:00

I don't have kids so it's not a problem but I keep them in my knicker drawer which is in my bedside table so they are close at hand when i want them. If my Mum had one I never found it but i did find a box of condoms in my Dad's sock drawer and all mine and my brothers baby teeth in a jewellery box shoved to the back of a drawer in Mum's dressing table. Never went snooping again.

MikeOxlong69 · 11/05/2025 01:15

Why hide them?

daphney · 11/05/2025 10:06

We bought a gorgeous vintage style storage box. It has a little lock on it, but little ones are little enough that we don't use it. We'll use the lock as they get older

amigafan2003 · 19/05/2025 23:25

Our toys are in a bedside drawer and lingerie in a box in the drawer at the end of the bed. They don't get locked away as:

1: The kids know to respect our privacy

and

2: If they did go snooping then shock horror, thier parents have sex and like to enjoy themselves - it's nothing to be embarrassed about.
