How often do you have sex post children

Hi ,
im just curious, had a girly night with some mum friends I’ve made through children’s school .. few wines in and we got into the subject of ‘sex’ ! One of the girls ask how often we had sex since our children have been born ! I have 10 and 7 year old . I said coupe of times a week mostly but can be less or occasionally more . There was a mix response with majority saying it’s 4-5 times a week . Other said hardly ever and one saying they haven't done it for months . I’m just wondering how often everyone else did it . I know every relationship different. My husband would do it every night given the chance 🤦🏼‍♀️😜

Your friends have already answered your question - everyone will have very different answers ranging from never to daily.

it also depends on the children’s ages and how often you get time away from them.

I feel very sad for parents/couples who rarely have any intimacy.

yeah it just got me thinking , i actually thought to my self the ones that said they do it 4-5 times a week ,are the being truthful?. I agree I feel sorry for the ones that don’t get that time or who have just lost interest for one reason or another .

I had a very long time of no sex when kids were little, I was touched out and had zero libido. I prioritised sleep 😂 (and non sexual me time).

I've got 4 of my own kids and I have a baby living with me that's not my biological child so that takes up a lot of my time and energy. Sometimes it'll be 4 times a week, sometimes less. It really just depends on how tired I am and what we've had on that week. If my DH is on night shifts then it's less too. If we find that we've not had it for a few days, we prioritise it and make sure we set time aside to do it. Generally we don't have it less than twice a week.

Once a week if we are lucky! And out of all of my friends I feel this this is the most frequent 🙈 kids are 5 and 9 and it was much less when they were younger.

4-5 times a week is good going I reckon. No way were we that regular when our kids were young. Regularity increased once they were a bit older and less physically exhausting.

Similar aged kids. I would like every night or most nights. My DH…I’m not sure. He says 2-3 times a week but he’s really not that bothered. Cannot remember the last time he asked ME for sex. So we fall somewhere in the middle but more towards his preference, once a week, maybe twice. Not enough for me but a compromise.

2-3 times a week...if on holiday/away with no kids it is usually every day😚

For the last 6/7 years it’s probably once a month or once every three weeks. In an ideal world I’d like it a few times a week but when I’ve raised it with my wife she said that’s enough for her and when she’s spoke about it with her friends they are the same.
It’s an absolute killer to be honest 😂

I wish she would, don’t get me wrong sometimes it is more frequent but then it falls back into once a month or every three weeks on average. I think because her friends have apparently said they are the same she just sees it as the norm. Not really much I can do about it unfortunately

i see , yes all the girls I where chatting with had a different set up ! with some being a lot to none at all ! It could be worse for you 🤣

Same here for me - save me for me it’s my DH that only wants it once or month of even every other month. It’s been 2.5 months now, and yes, it’s frustrating!

Would love it a few times a week 😫

Once a fortnight if I’m lucky 😵‍💫 The baby doesn’t sleep or nap well!
