Hi I recently put a urine sample in my doctors as I think I have UTI they called me today to say that my results are back and that it was abnormal that I need to repeat the tests and go have some tests at sexual health clinic does this mean the doctors think I have a STI? I’m going out my mind I’ve been with my partner 12 years

Just because you have an infection, doesn't necessarily mean it was sexually transmitted. Without the information you cam get from a GUM clinic, you have no way of knowing.

No, most GP services have been reduced down significantly and any kind of intimate testing is generally done at sexual health clinics these days. I had had investigations for irregular bleeding and despite the practice nurse doing a smear (and literally being there with her head practically up my cervix) I then had to trek to the next town over to go to the sexual health clinic for swabs to be taken.
