Partner and I have had a few conversations recently about when we were younger and before we were together we would love walking about naked in the house or on holidays in a private villa she would sunbathe topless etc and I mentioned that I would love to go to a nudist retreat/beach (not swinging)

I love the idea of the freedom but my biggest worry is constantly having an erection.
Has anyone got any experience and had this previously if so how did you deal with it? And is it normal?

I'd do it but slightly self conscious over my circumcision. Not sure if it would be for me.

I’m sure most men are circumcised now a days? My wife has said I’m the first man she’s been with that isn’t circumcised and she’s still not used to it after 15years 😂

Nudist beaches aren't supposed to be sexual so if you have an erection all the time people would probably think you were being inappropriate.

That’s what’s playing on my mind really because I wouldn’t want to go for a sexual reason it’s because I like being naked. Maybe a few times of going I’d be used to it and wouldn’t be aroused? I might go and not get aroused and hopefully I wouldn’t 😂

No, not sure why you would think that. I've had my fair share of dick and I've only know one to be circumcised and that was for medical reasons.

Can't offer much insight into avoiding erections in nudist places, I'm afraid. But have been doing some research on figures on circumcision in different countries.

Most reliable figures seem to be over 70% of men circumcised in the USA, but only around 20% in the UK (which of course includes all Jewish and Muslim males, who combined are around 7% of male population; and those who have moved to UK from places such as USA).

In other words, the proportion of non-Jewish and non-Muslim men in the UK who are circumcised is very small.

The 'wife and other women' appear to have moved in very... specific circles 🤔

Just try it.

I took my partner to a nudist beach for his first time and he didn't get an erection. It's not a sexy experience. It is a liberating experience though.

The majority of people at nudist places will be men anyway, and I've not seen any of them with erections.

We've been going to nudist beaches and swims since 2014. When I first tried it, that crossed my mind too, but it hasn't been an issue at all. Met some great people through it and been to some lovely places.
Don't overthink it. As a previous poster said - cool down in the water, take a towel or just lie on your front if you think it may be an issue.
You'll very probably find that it all becomes 'normal' to be clothes free after a short period of time. In our experience, it's not a problem.

@WingedWarrior why are you conscious about being circumcised? Just curious as I think it is a really nice look so shame you feel that way. I know on a field night out a few of us (after too much wine admittedly) said we really liked circumcised although a minority of our husbands/partners were actually circumcised.

Really no need to be worried. No one is interested in how folk look. There's no judgement, and we've all had those initial concerns.

Been to nudist beach in Bulgaria. I was conscious like you are especially when it doesn't take much to get a election. I was absolutely fine, plenty of other attractive nudes but it felt completely natural. I did put shorts on for walking to the sea, think I would have got hard in the sea as I know it feels so nice and freeing swimming naked.
