ChatGPT etc ?

A comment on another thread sparked a recollection here.....

I've never minded the occasional pm and most are polite, and pertinent, sometimes fun.
However I've had a couple of "different users" message me, both wanting to have "adult dialogue" shall we say....not offended) both had very similar ideas, similar phrases, asked similar questions, all very "non emotional" (non human?) in style.
Is there a ChatGPT type thing going on here on the forums?

Yes definitely, I’ve noticed it from a few accounts, and some more have popped up recently. To keep anyone aware that’s not in the know, men pretending to be women are now using platforms like chat GPT to write big long descriptive paragraphs that might seem overly supportive in hopes of tricking people into thinking they are genuine. The things to look out for are people seemingly overly supportive, broad and non identifiable text that usually just rehashes what the OP said in their message and then they always end in ‘uplifting’ conclusions. Basically if it seems oddly fake, friendly and surface level chances are it’s AI. There are tools online that can detect paragraphs too if you are unsure
