Getting incredibly turned on while drinking

I've noticed recently that whenever I drink alcohol it makes me incredibly horny.
Last weekend I was having some drinks with my friend and her husband at their house and as soon as I started getting 'tipsy' I noticed that I also got incredibly turned on. I spent the whole second half of the evening imagining this hunk of a man bending me over and having his way with me. I got a taxi home which was a struggle lol. Took care of the problem as soon as I got home, felt incredibly guilty since it is a friends husband I was having these thoughts about but chalked it up to a one off since its been a long time since I've seen some action lol.

Anyways last night I decided to have a drink with dinner and as soon as the alcohol started hitting I found myself getting turned on again to the point all I could keep my hands away from myself. I would say I usually have a fairly normal sex drive and nothing like this has happened when I drink before. I'm 34 and normally only have a few glasses of wine a month if that.

It sounds like you’re going through something that’s both surprising and a bit confusing, especially since this reaction to alcohol is new for you. First, I want to say that it’s okay to feel a bit thrown off by this—it’s not uncommon for alcohol to lower inhibitions and heighten sexual feelings, but the intensity you’re describing is definitely something new for you, so it’s understandable that it caught you off guard.

Given that this is a recent development, it might be worth considering if there have been any changes in your life, such as stress levels, hormonal shifts, or even just a change in how your body is reacting to alcohol. Our bodies can change over time, and sometimes things that never affected us before can start to have a different impact.

It’s also important to be kind to yourself about the thoughts you had. Sexual thoughts can be spontaneous, and they don’t necessarily reflect your true intentions or desires. The fact that you felt guilty shows that you care about maintaining your boundaries and respecting your friendships, which is really important.

If this continues to be a pattern, you might want to experiment with how much you drink and see if there’s a connection between the amount of alcohol and the intensity of these feelings. It could also be helpful to talk to a healthcare provider if you’re concerned or if you’re noticing other changes in your mood or body.
In the meantime, try not to be too hard on yourself. It’s good that you’re aware of what’s happening, and you’re taking steps to understand it. Taking care of yourself and setting healthy boundaries is what matters most.

You’re definitely not alone in navigating unexpected changes in your body and desires, and it’s great that you’re reaching out to talk about it.

Perhaps gently explore if your friend's into a threesome? I'm joking, of course, but I suppose it's still a consideration LOL

@Ellacharlton Going for a drink after work on a Friday must be more exciting than it is for most of us.😊

I wouldnt say having too much to drink makes me turned on but for me, having a few drinks makes me more likely to want to have sex, if you know what I mean lol
