Is fetlife good or bad? Is it a safe space to find out who you are and what you're into or not?

Ive been having a bit of a look about on there, but I'm not sure if I should get involved and talk to people on there, or not?

If anyone has any experience of it, I'd love to hear it!

I had (still have) a profile there, and Fet is really just a place to explore your kinks, and possibly connect with others online.....no harm in exploring your interests.

For me, it was meeting people randomly at club/socials that was more my thing....to actually "feel" how you respond to others and experiences. Just like normal life really, but with wider boundaries.

Set up a "profile" and explore.....but like everything in life, keep your spidery senses alert !

I'd say it depends what you are looking for.

From what I understand, it's not a dating site, but some use it as such, there is some extreme stuff posted, and predators are everywhere... The munches are great safe places to meet like-minded people, and discuss all sorts of topics.

It's a good source of information and I'd recommend joining some groups. But I'd never use it to meet individuals.

You're better off on Feeld, Fab or Killing Kittens/WAX if you want to connect with people.

@PinotPony I agree with you. Apparently there's been a lot of crime linked with Fetlife which is scary

I'd only meet individuals after having spoken to them, (and probably people that knew them) at a munch or club / event.

General consensus in the kink community seems to be that Fetlife is pretty dire and not terribly safe.

I was at a gathering of likeminded souls last night.. All of whom are on the much maligned site. None of them seemed to be worried about it, but all take some sort of precaution.

Much like Fab, I suppose?
