Threadworms!

Hi. I got threadworms presumably from my one year old, I'm getting the medication tomorrow and another in 2 weeks. My partner is home on Saturday and we were meant to have a date, will threadworms definitely be passed onto him through sexual intercourse, google doesn't give a specific answer

Its more from sharing bedding and etc rather than from sex. Everyone in the household should be treated anyway if one person gets them.

The initial dose will kill them. The second dose kills the new worms that hatch in 2 weeks time.

Wash towels and bedding and maintain good hand washing.

You can’t catch it from sexual intercourse but from eating the eggs. So if a worm lays eggs around your anus and he touches your bum, then doesn’t wash his hands, he can scatter those eggs around the house to be picked up again later or he can accidentally consume them and then he will get worms.

i wouldn’t allow oral either, worms often travel up into and around the vagina.

I caught them once from DS and DH didn't ever get them (that he noticed, anyway) but they are super contagious and I think he was just lucky. I'd be careful. A quick perfunctory shag would probably be quite safe just make sure he doesn't go licking anything!!!
