Anal for the first time side effects

On Sunday night DH and I had planned to try anal which we both enjoyed and had planned for. I took a few laxatives the morning before and long story short enjoyed it. We made sure to use plenty of lube and researched it all before. But we are by no means educated.

Fast forward to today I feel horrible, my anus feels like it’s on fire, keep feeling the need to poo but nothing happens or only mucus comes out. My tummy is also bloated I’m not due on so it shouldn’t be related. I’ve got a hot water bottle but nothing helps also taken paracetamol

I would guess it’s more likely a side effect of the laxatives rather than the anal. I would not suggest using laxatives or enemas before anal. They are not good for your gut. Just go to the toilet for a bowel movement an hour or so before you do the deed.

Yep if he came up there then feeling like that is par for the course (obly ever done it once so idk if it gets better)

I think what you're feeling is the side effects from the laxative.
Was it one with the "Docusate" ingredient?

Taken from the NHS website:

Common side effects
There are things you can do to help cope with these common side effects of docusate:
. Feeling sick (nausea)
. Diarrhoea
. Stomach cramp
. Burning feeling or pain around the bottom
. Burning feeling in the mouth and throat

You got the lube right but laxatives always make you feel rubbish and certainly not conducive to quality sex of any kind. He really is not going to enter you that far.

If you do decide to try again, avoid the laxatives, just give your bum a good wash (hair conditioner works well; it’s slippery)and l would suggest a condom for hygiene reasons.

You don't need laxatives and enemas, just go to the toilet before if you need to and be clean.

Thank you all. The laxatives have made me feel rubbish. We definitely both enjoyed anal and will do it again to spice things up. But my god everything hurts. My tummy has settled down now. I went and got some Anusol which helped loads

The 'pressure' sensation you are experiencing is quite normal, I have it too for the first half a day after, feel like I need to drop it like it's hot but end up squeezing a little bit of cum out 🤣😩

Glad you enjoyed it at the time & hopefully less side effects next time if you don't take the laxatives.

Never tried anal before but sort of intrigued to know what it feels like for those who enjoy it. Is it similar to vaginal or does it feel completely different?

Replying after several days of thought and some hesitation, because once before on a similar thread l was shot down in flames!

l think it was best summed up by a poster on another thread who said it felt like having a backwards poo!

If it done skilfully and gently l would describe it as feeling quite pleasant rather than earth shattering! Good lube is essential (l would suggest washing with hair conditioner first; it’s more slippery than soap) and get him to work around the perimeter. I’d suggest all fours, get him to keep still and you back on. If it is uncomfortable, stop where he is, then continue. It should not hurt! You might want to consider a small plug as part of prep.

And finally, something books tend not to tell you, expect to fart afterwards. You will have air pumped into you.

That is as far as l’m prepared to go on a public forum.

That's a shame you received negative comments last time, particularly on a sex board!

Thanks for the info though, I'd never heard it described as a backwards poo before so interesting to learn! I'd heard people say it feels a lot more intense but didn't know what that meant haha! Glad you generally enjoyed the sensation though.

One possible thing to bear in mind as a cause of your post-anal problems is the transference of bacteria to a place that isn't accustomed to them. Lots of people get away with it, but if you are having anal it is wise not to have oral first, as there are bacteria in the average mouth that cause no issues at all until they are introduced into the rectum. The same is also true with vaginas, and of course a penis should never go from the anus into a vagina, or mouth. This is despite what we see on porn films. Quite how the actresses survive after some porn movies defies belief.
