Not sure where to ask after google, sorry guys
My husband just can't get the hang of missionary but I would love him on top, he's give it a go a number of times for me but he just can't do it and I end up on top again if he's not already down, I don't know if it's the concentration or position or something but I'm looking for tips or tricks that might help as I don't even know how to guide him, I just thought that position came naturally
Help please?

What does he find difficult about it? I think that position is all about the right angle and finding a rhythm.

I'm not sure, maybe it's me as well but I thought it should be the easiest,
He's quite a bit taller than me, 6'2 and I'm 5'
But we've no trouble getting it in there but then it just seems awkward, tried our legs in different positions and the moment just gets lost 😅
I think maybe he's struggling with the movement side of it but I think that's down to the position, we just end up giving up but I really want to help make it work

Is he any good at thrusting at different angles, underneath you / from behind? He could just be useless at that

This. Or maybe 2 pillows. I think it’s really weird to find this difficult though, surely it’s back to basics.

I can see how it might difficult if there's a big size different between the two parties. If the OP is only 5' then possibly quite petite with a narrow pelvis, whereas if her OH is of bigger build then to get between her legs might be harder if they both keep their legs straight, or fairly straight. Have you tried lifting your legs up, maybe wrap them round him?

Or tie ankles to headboard. Use ribbon not cord or string, then it doesn’t cut in. Seriously!

Is your bed a divan? If it is turn round 180 degrees so his feet are against the headboard for purchase and to stop him slipping. Get a pillow under your bum and wrap legs around as best as possible.

From your initial post I thought there maybe a height difference think your update clears that up. Is he just tall or is there a weight difference too? We have a height difference and I am also nearly double my partners weight she is petite I am not.

It Comes in handy for some positions and can be awkward In others. Standard missionary is one. It’s better when she is on the edge of the bed or couch and I am stood up or kneeling.

I also bought the liberator wedge and ramp combo years ago which help facilitate the size difference and they have been worth the investment and saves messing about with pillows or cushions.

Another tip is for him to work on his core strength. Bridge lifts, planks. Kettlebells,pushups and Callanetics. This should improve his fitness and rhythm.

One last thing have you had discussion about if he’s scared of hurting you. In the very beginning it was a concern of mine. Took me a while to get used to the power indifference and took my partner a while to say she liked it. Communication as always is key.
