FWB before and after sex

I have a FWB, I like being around him, we have lots in common, we do have a bit of a sub/dom dynamic, he can be quite rough during sex, light biting etc but it’s all consensual and he constantly checks-in. After sex, he is really tactile, cuddles me, holds me and kisses my forehead. Then when we are out of bed he becomes really formal in how we interact, it’s like we go from lovers to friends, when I say bye, I’m often the one to hug and kiss him. Maybe this is his way of not becoming emotionally involved too much. It feels like he becomes a different person after we’ve had sex.

I can relate to this. I had a FWB many years ago, and during sex, and immediately after it was easier to be affectionate, but once it was over I felt it was easier not to be. It helped me to help keep the boundary between the friends and benefits aspects more easily defined.

Is this a problem for you @Onceitwasadream or just an observation?

@OfcourseitsaNC It’s more an observation but also I think it may become a problem for me. It just feels a complete change from our interactions in bed to leaving the bed and I don’t know how to feel about it.
