Women on porn: is everyone hairless?!

But what caught my eye - is tagline about every woman under 40 being hairless (no pubic hair)

So.....is this true?

FWIW I'm 39 and have never totally removed hair down there. Am I the weird one?

Personally I find hairless to be very off putting.

You’d presumably have to watch an awful lot of porn covering a lot of different genres, age ranges, and countries of origin to conclude that everyone is hairless. I’m sure that most e.g. big name stars in commercially made porn from the big US porn makers are, but I doubt that’s representative of what the majority of people watch the majority of or style their bodies on.

Most of the women I’ve slept with remove or trim to some extent, but by no means have all been hairless. Quite a lot of the men I’ve slept with also shave or do a lot of topiary. I remove mine because I swim and run long distance and it’s frankly quicker and easier to take it all off with a razor in the shower than mess about evenly trimming the bits which would show in my pants. I have friends who barely trim.

I think around the virgina, if not above it, in contemporary porn, yes. Same is true for men, ie shaved ball bags seem obligatory. I saw somewhere that the op to remove pubic hair for women from that part of the body permanently is now quite common. Porn culture. There was a time when public hair was considered sexy.

I think my question is about women in everyday life, (which may or may not include women who are porn stars) and whether they have no hair.

Before I met my husband I had a full bush and had never trimmed or waxed it, I started getting waxed after we met and no I have had IPL so it’s all pretty much gone. If it wasn’t for his preference I’d probably still have a full bush. Having said that it’s not a huge deal to me but it makes him extremely happy so I don’t mind.

Maybe for porn they are all shaven and 'clean' , I don't shave anywhere, have not done for many years.

Same here. DH loves me bare so that is very much now my norm and I think for many women under 50 as well.
I was but must admit I need to try something like IPL but sceptical as to how good it would be on the public area
