IUD does it interfere?

So I know professionals say it can be felt or anything and I believe them. But, there's certain fingering movements I like that involves getting in there and wiggling those fingers around, will it still not be felt or god forbid pushed up? Anyone had anything like this? I also have a sexual partner who is needless to say very big and goes very deep and hard. I understand the penis can't get to it in general but not even if it's a big big one? Don't want it to be pushed! Again let me know of any experiences good or bad. I'm getting mine fitted soon x

When I had one my partner said he could feel the stings during sex. I don’t think it hurt but just felt a bit weird he said. I didn’t have it for long as it didn’t suit me.

*strings, obviously!

Omg please ignore that horrible poster <<when men are not welcome on the sex chat!>>

I've only ever had mirena coil, but I imagine they are all similar. You can feel the 'strings' and the nurse can feel up to chexk they are still in place.

The coils i think are flexible and the cervix is very small. Additonall, the womb provides lots of lovely protection. So nothing can be dislodged or pushed up

Male view! My wife has one and when she is in certain positions such as on top and grinding down I can sometimes feel the string a bit. But thats it. Neve feel the actual coil itself. It is still so much better than options like condoms!

I've got a Mirena (which I love). Generally the strings just protrude slightly out from the cervix but not much. I know my OH can feel them if his finger is in really high and also if his penis is inside me really deep but it really is not an issue and it doesn't cause him a problem.

Don't worry...just go with it. The nurse of doctor can trim the strings if need be

cheshirebloke · 20/01/2024 00:31

My DP has a mirena coil and I've never felt the strings, not even when my fingers touch her cervix (which she likes the feeling of). Don't worry about it getting 'pushed up', that can't really happen.

PinotPony · 20/01/2024 16:54

DP says he can feel the strings of my Mirena with the tip of his penis in certain positions but it doesn't hurt him.

It won't be dislodged. The coil sits inside your uterus and the strings hang out your cervix. If cut to the correct length, the strings kind of wrap onto the tissues of your cervix, so aren't just waggling around...
