Anyone logged frequency of sex with partner?

I don't have a great head for remembering specifics, so a while back I used an app on my phone each morning to record whether any sex had taken place the day before. It takes literally a second to respond to the reminder, and a smiley icon means good and non-smiley bad.

It started because I was unhappy with the lack of frequency and wanted to know what say the average per month was without guessing. Fast-forward to now and I now have several years history recorded.

I'm not sure I would ever share this info with my partner, as I have an unease about what it possibly says about me.

Any thoughts on either the concept or what you would say if your partner told you they had done similar?

JFC I'd be absolutely livid if I found out that my partner was doing this. It would seal my vagina very, very tightly shut for a very long time.

Nothing in this about the person you're married to/living with, is there? Just all about you and your needs.

A quick score-count shows 5 not seeing this as anything unusual. Of these, one seems to be definitely F and one M.

There are 8 who are very much against, even to the point of being 'livid' if it was their partner. One of the eight is definitely F.

I am also an adult human female.

I love a home grown citizen science project so it wouldn't bother me if my wife made a note of anything - I'd be surprised she was that interested TBH :-) - so - what did you learn from the data and how did you use the knowledge - did it affect how you thought about your relationship (e.g. was it less or more than you thought, more irregular? Were there any patterns, etc) or indeed how you reacted at certain times?

I didnt give a clue about my sex, so I assumed you advanced search me, which is fine. But for the avoidance of doubt, I am a man, and I think its fucking weird and creepy.

TBH it was partly a reaction to a lot of people assuming I was male, as well as a bit of mileage from the idea that memorising info (which was originally by me, about me!) was enough to put people in a hypothetical rage.

If there is one thing a mumsnet thread guarantees, it's predictability.
