Have a few specific questions about swingers clubs/sex clubs

I'm intrigued by them but have never visited one. I've always assumed they are primarily for married couples. Is this not the case? Would it be weird for someone to go to one with the intention of watching others having sex, without feeling obliged to participate? Also, this is the part I am most curious about. After you go inside, is there a door you go through where the action happens, so to speak? Is it just a group of people having what essentially amounts to a mass orgy in a large room, or are there multiple rooms? Can only imagine the humidity and smell, which would presumably be quite prominent if there are multiple people shagging in an enclosed area.

The answers really depend where you go and when. Most clubs have different nights aimed at different groups. Open to anyone and couples & single ladies nights being the most common.

Generally there is an area for socialising/dancing/a bar then rooms/areas for play. Depending on the venue there's things like pools/jacuzzi/cinima/bdsm spaces too. Rooms are ganerally either private or have some kind of window, open spaces sometimes have a rope or line to help keep watchers back a bit.

Noone has to play, infact some go just to socialise! The general rule is a open door/room with window invites watchers. Open spaces invite side by side play or watchers but no interaction unless invited.

The better places will have a tour and go through the rules on a first visit and will be well enforced with "anything except an enthusiastic yes is a no" . There are of course seedier places but the community tends to be quite good at self policing too

To echo the previous reply. You normally walk into a bar area. You could stay there all night but wouldn't be allowed to go to the play room area without dressing down to lingerie. Something sexy.

Some clubs are dress down on arrival. That means you have to go to the changing room straight away and "dress down". To a newbie this may be a bit daunting.

If you want to dress down, that doesn't imply you want to play. You can then go and watch in open play areas.

Any other questions. Happy to help.

We went to one
Had a tour from staff first then shown to the lounge area and sat and had a drink
As others have said there are closed playrooms and if the door is open it's an invite in
We're definitely going to visit again
As for the smell and humidity there was neither
It felt like a relaxed friendly private drinking club with added benefits
