Implant and hormones sex life

Hi

I have spent the last 3 years having very little sex with my husband. I have quite a traumatic past with SA etc and when I had my implant put in I was also going through therapy. I've spent the last three years with no libido and putting this down to my past. But since I have had my implant removed my libido is back, I'm feeling desire again and all those other feelings. I'm now wondering if it was my implant, or if this is just a coincidence. If it's my implant being removed then I feel so desperately upset that I've been having a near sexless life for three years and have put my husband through that as well. Not that he's ever moaned, been nothing but supportive.

Does anyone else have similar situations?

Me! Zero libido on the implant. Absolutely hate it but also don't want to get pregnant. I also think it's the cause of my weight gain too

Yes, I had the same with the injection. Sex drive went gradually so didn’t realise it was that. Came back a couple of months after stopping the injection

A lot of women find this is a side effect OP. It’s been talked about on mumsnet before, my friend was told by her doctor that it’s reported commonly by patients.
