Fox & Badge parties

Has anyone been to Fox & Badge parties in London? Considering going but unsure how safe they are and also they seem to be into dressing up (costume or fetish), unsure about that!
unlike KK parties, they don’t seem to be screening their guests so interested to find out how good their security is, what sort of crowd do they attract. Thanks!

They’re marketed as having a sexy sensual play vibe but the venues don’t usually have sex licenses so they aren’t sex parties per se. The emphasis is on costume and music and performance, mainly.

They’re perfectly safe in the same way you’d expect any professional event in a mainstream club to be, but there’s no strict vetting, primarily because they aren’t intended as sex events. I’ve known the organisers for years and a lot of the regular attendees are my wider “social group” via the Burning Man scene - the original parties were smaller and a lot more Burner-y; as they’ve gotten bigger attendees have become a bit more diverse, but that’s still the general vibe. I stopped going the past couple of years, the DJs are generally just too melodic for me to enjoy dancing to, I prefer my techno harder. They’re good fun costume parties though, especially if you’re going with a big group of friends - but if you’re looking specifically for the sex side, try KV.

If F&B sounds your thing, definitely try and get tickets for London Decompression in November - it’s very Burner (it essentially originated and was intended as the post-Burning Man celebration and catch up party) but you don’t have to be a Burner or to have attended BM this year (or indeed ever) to go (though you’ll enjoy it more if the community is up your street.) There are a couple of sex/playroom theme camps (Crumpet is the big one but Merkin have put their name in the hat to run one this year also) and a lot of those who attend are also regulars at fetish parties like TG, KV, Crossbreed and Pedestal.
