How long did you wait after a C-section?

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and absolutely gaggin for it 🤣 when I was pregnant, sex wasn’t a thing I hated the thought of it but since having my LO my sex drive has gone sky high, I cannot wait!! I definitely feel ready. I feel fully recovered already I’ve come around quite quick, but I’m so scared of getting an infection, am I right in saying I still have an opened wound inside of me? The 6 week wait is going to take forever 😫 when did you all do it first after your section?

It doesn’t actually matter when anyone had sex following a section. The fact is you have an 8.5 inch wound on your uterus where the placenta has detached. To insert anything into your vaginal canal risks infection, possibly sepsis. It’s really not worth it, no matter how horny you feel.

I've had 4 c sections, I can't remember with the earlier 3, but after my last I think it was only ten days. I felt well by then and felt like having sex. Nothing bad happened, but it's definitely not recommended. Recommendation is 6 weeks, due to risk of infection. It's up to you though. You could use a clitoral vibrator that you don't need to insert.

I did it at 5 weeks
