DW wants to know, can big toys permanently widen a vagina? And how does this change with age?

Hi,

Firstly I'd like to say that this question is on behalf of my DW.

Although she enjoys big toys, she's worried that she'll use them too much and lose the ability to enjoy an average sized penis permanently, because her vagina might stretch too much and remain stretched.

So far, everything's gone back to "normal" for her within 24 hours after playing with big toys. She's worried that as she goes into her 50's that her ability to "bounce back" will be lost and that she'll be left with a "loose" vagina.

The internet doesn't seem to give a conclusive answer, lots of yes/no/maybe's.

Also, if it's not possible to stretch the muscles down there, then why do dilators work?

For men, have you ever noticed anything like this or found an answer?

For ladies that have experienced a similar conundrum, how has this worked out for you?

They don't stretch a woman. Dilators are usually used by women with vaginismus which is partly psychological so it's not the same thing. I suppose she might get used to a big dildo and prefer that to an average penis but personally speaking, masturbating with a toy isn't comparable with real intercourse. Both good in their own way but not in competition with each other. I don't use dildos though, my toys are vibrators.

From a little reading about dilators, it's more about training the muscles to be able to relax, because they're so used to being completely tensed up

In my wife's case she doesn't seem to have any problems in this area, she appears worried that:

a. she won't "snap back" some day - kind of like "if the wind changes your face will stick like that"
b. she won't be able to enjoy me afterwards because she'll develop a preference for that full feeling

In terms of b. I think she's more afraid of admitting to herself that that's what's been the case since the start of our relationship - her previous partners were 8 to 11 inches and girthy - she thought it was normal not to be able to close her fingers around the shaft of a penis and that that was an average size!

It is a maybe. Has she had children vaginally delivered? That's a bit of a stretch!

Hmmm, I'm a bit unsure of what she's worried about. It's not like we're left with a gaping hole after we've had a big dick up there. Vaginas are very adaptable.

@yorkshireteabagman I asked, she answered - it's not something that bothers me, as she's had partners with no penis at all and thoroughly enjoyed her time with them

If you're talking about lesbian sex, it's possible she sees it as not comparable to hetero sex. I love being with women for separate reasons and am satisfied without a penis or dildo when with a woman. I can cum from oral, grinding, fingering etc. But when I'm with a man I want penetration and to be fully satisfied in that way. A small one isn't going to be enough for me.

The muscles can lose their strength if you don't use them. But there's always kegel exercises, which she should be doing anyway.
