I’ve had an ongoing issue of thrush throughout my pregnancy, dr would only prescribe me cream and never the pessary - the cream never worked therefore the thrush never left. Sex became impossible the pain was excruciating. I ended up getting the pessary at the hospital (not sure why it wasn’t just prescribed at the start) I used it 5 days ago (partner has been using the cream just to be sure - he isn’t showing symptoms.) we had sex yesterday for the first time in FOREVER. I noticed the difference massively, the pain wasn’t excruciating however still present, and sore. Penetration was very uncomfortable and stingy. The pain subsided after sex. Whereas previously with thrush the pain was so unbelievably painful where I would lay sobbing after, the pain would also go on over an hour +. So I did notice a massive difference. We tried sex again tonight, stingy and uncomfortable, quite painful. I then noticed my vagina swelled so much, so swole that penetration was then impossible (we were trying different things to see if anything would ease) did I have sex too soon after using the pessary? (3 days) or do I seem to have a separate issue? My thrush symptoms have massively improved so I definitely don’t feel as if I still have it. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks, let me know!
