Burlesque clubs

When you see burlesque shows in movies they look fabulous. My gut says the reality is more likely to be a dingy room at the back of a scruffy pub. What's the reality?

I have seen the occasional act in a pub, very occasional!
Not seen one advertised since Covid

I've been to a Burlesque night at the Wardrobe club in Leeds. It was a classy event. They used to hold them regularly.

I've seen one with my wife in Manchester - it was mostly a female crowd and male/female couples having a good time and enjoying the humour and nudity.

It was less sensuous than we were expecting, however it was still fun and sexy.

Even though the venue was small it didn't detract. Google says there's more happening up here soon.
