I have a small tear in my perineum after we were a bit enthusiastic . how can I get it to heal quickly? Anyone else get this? I’ve put some tea tree oil and Epsom salts in the bath for antibacterial help…

Ouch! Firstly, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before touching the area. Put some witch hazel on a sanitary pad for the first day, then I’d cleanse the area with sterile water after using the toilet until it’s healed. I wouldn’t use any other products as they’re likely to irritate the delicate skin. To promote the healing process you could try upping your protein intake.

Fortunately the, erm, intimate areas do heal up, sometimes very quickly. Thousands of generations of evolution have seen to that - after all elimination and reproduction are pretty important for the continuation of the species. So I hope you won't be discommoded for too long. If symptoms persist, as they say, it might be a good idea to seek medical advice, but most of them heal up of their own accord.

Dont know if this is helpful, but after deliverind a baby the midwives suggested Baddedas in the bath to promote healing.
Or the old remedy of salt in the bath
Hope you feel better soon
