Curious about BDSM

I’ll start off by saying I’m a middle aged married woman (late thirties) and I know the ideal scenario would be me being able to talk about this and explore this with DH.

This wouldn’t work for a number of reasons, mainly that our sex life is non existent and DH is mortified by the mention of anything to do with sex. Yes, we’ve talked about it lots but nothing has ever changed. He is happy with things the way they are, doesn’t want me to leave and doesn’t care that lack of sex upsets me.

I had made my peace with a sexless life, but in recent months my sex drive has shot through the roof. I find myself increasingly fantasising about and curious about BDSM.

Can anyone recommend any information/ communities where I could ask questions and talk with other people curious or knowledgable about this?

I guess it depends on what areas of BDSM you are interested in.

Fetlife is a app / website for those in the BDSM community. It has links to regular events all around the country - a lot of which are social events where you can meet like minded people (Munches)

Fetlife is good for events like local munches, and community chats. I wouldn't use it as a way to meet partners as there's some real creeps on there.

Killing Kittens is a great place to learn more. It's not hardcore BDSM as such but lots of members are in D/s dynamics and happy to share knowledge and experience. Head over to Kinky chat and ask away!
