Sex drive while EBF?

Before giving birth I had a very high sex drive. My birth was mildly traumatic- forceps and episiotomy. I have a mild prolapse and seeing a PF specialist. My orgasms are very weak. However I feel I have no drive for sex. Not sure if it's psychological or hormonal... is this related to breastfeeding? Or because I'm now trying to sensualise an area that was subjected to so much pain and trauma?

Its everything. Presumably your child is young if you are still ebf?

No advise, but sympathy. It got better for me after a few lost years!

I breast fed for six years (both my children, one after the other) and I had no sex drive whatsoever! I would muster up the energy for it every now and then but overall it was a very long dry spell for my husband! 😂

Once I had stopped breast feeding it took about 4-5 months to finally feel like my sex drive was coming back. Our youngest is now 5 and we still only have sex about 1-2 times a week…… the stresses and tiredness that comes with having children is a passion killer in itself.

Well it’s likely connected to having a baby and being exhausted. It’s perfectly normal to want to get some sleep instead of sex. I didn’t want sex when I was Bf’ing either. I had to wear my bra all the time when I was bf’ing as my boobs were so sensitive, especially nipples. I didn’t enjoy sex with a bra on as for me without TMI I like my boobs being part of the action! I’m sure it will come back in time but you’ll see many posts on here saying young mums aren’t interested in sex and that can happen after child birth, both tired and resentful of their partner who often isn’t pulling their weight
