What music to cover/drown out sex noises?

Sometimes we get carried away and I can get a little loud. We usually put white noise (rain, ocean waves) but I feel like it’s not covering the noise and we are worried incase the kids ever hear us. Can’t put banger music on cause kids will wake. They are light sleepers. Any suggestions? 🤣

When you have children in the house, you need to learn to be quieter. If you’re loud, then any music will also need to be loud and that will just wake them. Just be quieter because it’s really awful for your kids to hear you.

Ace of Spades. Motörhead. That should drown it out. Lol.

IfIKnowMe · 22/05/2023 22:57

Just make less noise. That’s life with children.

MyMachineAndMe · 23/05/2023 01:53

A pillow over your faces?

Mermaidparades · 23/05/2023 07:30

The music would need to be in the children’s room, not yours, to ensure they can’t hear you. Sex is a part of life and I don’t believe it should be hidden, but it sounds like you need to dial it down a bit.

Grimethorpe colliery brass band

Agree sex is normal but it should be hidden from children. Wait till they're asleep, close the door and put the TV on. If they are older kids and awake they might hear a bed creak but they can't be hearing moans, that's grim.

Paperlate · 23/05/2023 16:21

Your children don't need to hear you having sex. You will have to be quieter.

Just be quieter. Nothing more grim than kids hearing sex noises!

Strawbs88 · 23/05/2023 19:59

Obviously we DON’T want them to hear us hence asking for suggestions to cover the noise 😂. I agree it would be grim if they ever did so I try my best to be quiet. I just wondered if anyone had a good tip, that’s all, as a friend told me about the white noise. The bed doesn’t make any noise.

Serious post now, can you moan into a pillow to muffle the noise? Or even low-level white noise in the background might work.

Zanatdy · 24/05/2023 06:13

You can control the volume of your groans, the last thing any child wants is hearing mum and dad shagging. I’m sure many of us would love to be more vocal but it’s just something you don’t do when you’ve got kids

There’s a big difference between never mentioning sex around your children and acting like it’s a dirty word to having noisy sex that children can over hear. I mean a TV on in the bedroom will help but really you need to save the noisy sex for hotel visits when your kids are at home or when they are at school etc

Mermaidparades · 24/05/2023 09:06

@Zanatdy yes, I agree!

crimsonlake · 24/05/2023 17:54

Exactly this...you can control the volume of your groans.

Sorry, that should of read as Grimthorpe Colliery Brass Band - a live performance.

Ball gag?

MisterT373 · 09/06/2023 14:18

"Elevator Music" (no pun intended) - but without vocals as you end up singing along.

The Girl from Ipanema kind of music.
