Losing erection

Me and my husband have been together for over 25 years. About ten years ago there was a brief spell where he would lose erection at the moment of penetration. It happened a handful of times. We didn't actively do anything about it then, abstained for a bit maybe unintentionally and it just suddenly resolved itself.
But now it has happened again. Twice, a few weeks ago. One time it was at the point of penetration. The other was when he got out of bed to get something and when he came back moments later the erection had completely gone. I mean completely.
Anyone else share any thoughts as to what's going on? He says he's not stressed.

I’m guessing he might be late 40s early 50s, sounds a bit like the natural aging process, is fit & happy otherwise?

Also if you get stressed about his potential lack of erection that in itself us a turnoff remember? This can become a self fulfilling prophecy.

I'm a mid 40s male and have also experienced this on occasion. A few things that have helped:

a) Both of us not taking it too seriously - easier said than done but we'll both joke about my penis having mind of his own and try and make light of situation.
b) Toys. If my equipment isn't ready then watching my other half enjoy herself with dildo is v enjoyable and will also mostly help get me ready again.
c) Just accept this can happen as a physiological issue from time to time - nothing to do with your attractiveness, etc.

Cock rings can work for some, helping maintain erection and there's also of course option of getting checked out and taking Viagra or other medication if it becomes more serious - not tried that one yet myself but plenty of others on here will have had experience.

Good luck!
