Height difference positions

I'm 5ft4 and guy I'm dating is 6ft1, we've not had sex yet. My previous partners have been shorter than him. Just wondering what sex positions you do when there is a bigger height difference.

5ft 1 v 6ft 3 here.
Any position you want basically. Except maybe standing up facing each other :)

Have had a bigger height differenc than that and I don't think it really made much difference. We didn't have a particularly wide repertoire, but 69 is about the only thing I can think of that would be problematic.

I am 6' and partner is 5'. We've never had a problem with positions. One position that we find works well though is the man seated on a chair with the woman facing him, seated in his lap. It allows lots of kissing and contact. Basically you will find that we are all the same height when we are lying down.

You’ve got the same height difference as my partner and I. For us, CAT and cowgirl would be our go to’s. Doggy should be fine too (unfortunately my DP has dodgy joints so it’s out for us). Liberator do fantastic foam wedges designed to enhance sex positions, I love ours.

In our younger years I used to faff about on stairs and trying to stand on stools trying to perfect standing sex, but I resigned myself that it was always going to feel too unstable to be properly enjoyable!

Estherpologist · 19/04/2023 07:56

@Mermaidparades What's CAT?

Zanatdy · 19/04/2023 07:59

Im 5ft 1, most recent bf was 6ft. We never had an issue. We had fun on a bar stool which was just the right hand for him standing and me on the stool, otherwise when lying in bed there wasn’t a position we had a problem with, and we tried them all and some!

I'm 6.4 and DW is 5.4. We enjoy all the usual positions - from behind, cowgirl, missionary, spoons etc very comfortably and the ones when we are facing each other are able to have have our mouths pretty much level so we can kiss etc. And 69 is fine. Standing facing each other I'll lift her up. Sex is a great leveller!

@Estherpologist CAT position is "Coital Alignment Technique". Basically missionary position but with the man moving a bit higher and consciously rubbing his pubic bone area against the woman's clitoris to increase the possibility of orgasm.

Mermaidparades · 19/04/2023 08:54

@Estherpologist @Iloveabaconbutty has explained it. It’s a good move! I was a teenager in the 90s and More! magazine was the highlight of my fortnight, they were always championing CAT. It definitely works for my anatomy.

Mermaidparades · 19/04/2023 08:56

@Iloveabaconbutty swoon I would love for my DP to lift me up, it looks so sensual in the movies!!! However, I am not very dainty and I imagine we would probably end up in A & E 😂

Iloveabaconbutty · 19/04/2023 09:07

@Mermaidparades 🤣 I try to keep my biceps toned to prevent the old "arm wobble" during proceedings! Sometimes a handy wall to lean against is helpful too!

Rieslinger · 19/04/2023 09:40

For me Doggy has the potential to be the most problematic because of differing upper leg lengths, as long as the giving partner can open their legs to match heights or receiving can lean over tables or bed etc it usually sorts itself out.

Or one on the bed, one standing.

Very good choice! @Estherpologist

AlexaAdventuress · 19/04/2023 16:41

Lying down, it has always struck me as a good piece of design that the fun bits are in the middle, because that halves the height difference straight away. Standing up, well, that's what high heels were invented for. That extra 6" of height brings us very neatly into alignment. Though I often need a wall or kitchen worktop to lean against in order to balance.

Tallguy101 · 19/04/2023 19:35

I’m 6ft 6ins tall. Partners have ranged from 4ft 8ins to 6ft 8ins. It isn’t a problem, trust me…..
