Good luck to you, Leo Grande

DW and I watched "Good luck to you Leo Grande" the other day, with Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack.

Lovely film and just wanted to recommend it. It's the story of an older woman ecountering the very first opportunity she's ever had to discover and enjoy her sexuality with a young male sex worker.

If it sounds a bit seedy it really isn't. They've both had trials in life to deal with which are gradually revealed. It's a warm, good humoured film with a happy ending.

I've just watched this, it's so inspiring for older women, and beautifully acted.
Thinking about what you want sexually, and asking for it, and exploring your own responses is something we all need to learn. It mirrored some of my experiences post a long (and unspeakably dull) marriage.
Plus how inspiring for Emma Thompson to stand there, buck naked, at the end, at the age of 62.

I waited patiently for the DVD to come out. I loved the story, thought the ending could have been better.

I thought it was a beautiful film. Struck many chords over people getting more than they bargained for. A recommend.

Great film.

Watched it over Christmas in a holiday rental with mste. We enjoyed it. Worth a watch

Watched it with DW this weekend (Free on Prime).

A beautifully acted chamber-piece.

I know I’m a bit late to this but I’ve just watched it and I thought it was really moving. Plus the most realistic orgasm I’ve ever seen, down to the neck flush, she’s either a REALLY good actor or…………
