Scary orgasm

I've named changed for this as it happened with my fwb and not my husband, not that he would ever know as we don't have sex but that's another story.

I had not had an orgasm for a while and following a monumental effort by my brilliant fwb I had a shuddering orgasm with tears. This is not unusual for me but then I sobbed, hyperventilated and then couldn't catch my breath and nearly passed out. I was incapable of speaking and totally flattened by it all. I was shaking uncontrollably and when I thought it was all calming down, the sobs would overwhelm me again. Luckily my calm fwb talked calmly to me and held me until I came around. It was very scary and I'm not that keen on going through it again! Has anyone else had this and if so is it a regular occurance? Am I safe to cum again?

Honestly sounds more like a panic attack than an orgasm

NorthAngel · 30/12/2022 19:38

Wow! Who is this FWB?? He sounds amazing!!

Seriously, agree with above. Sounds like a panic attack.

Coffeeandcake15 · 30/12/2022 19:49

I was going to say the same, it sounds like a panic attack. Do you have any negative experiences surrounding sex?

None at all- apart from hardly ever getting any!

Do you have any trauma related to sex in your past?

Do you think you were breathing any differently during that session than usual? Certain types of breathing can induce dramatic results and maybe you did this without realising.

The shaking makes sense because that's what your body does to try and prevent you from passing out - it's a shot of adrenaline.

Orgasmicreaction · 30/12/2022 20:18

I've never had a panic attack before. I will investigate them. Thank you.
And yes @NorthAngel he is. Lots of benefits!

Maybe you should run off with him 😉

I have no sex related trauma.

I was breathing very heavily for quite a long time (!) building up to that moment.

Another mums net double standard. If this was a bloke he'd be scum for having a FWB whilst with a woman.

Glad you're having a good time but if your relationship with your actual partner is so bad just leave them.

Hijinks75 · 30/12/2022 21:25

I guess it’s possible that a panic attack could be bought on by subconsciously thinking she’s having sex with someone whose not her partner, who knows

I have no issues with having sex with someone who is not my husband.

more or less rules that out then, still sounds like a panic attack

soloinaduo · 30/12/2022 21:49

A couple of years ago I had a fwb who was multi orgasmic....I think that's the term. She would drift off around orgasm sometimes, either breathe very fast or sometimes (scarily) breathe very slowly, till she came back to "the here and now."

Sadly, I don't think it was any special talent on my part (😂) it was just the way she was made.....like OPs fwb, I learnt to hold her gently and just wait.

Rhondaa · 30/12/2022 21:51

Oh op it all sounds very dramatic and quite scary both for you and your fwb. Agree with others it's perhaps an ott adrenaline reaction, a combination of sub conscious guilt plus the obvious sexual enjoyment.

Maybe stick to masturbating going forward, see if you can pace yourself a bit? Not sure if sobbing is going to provide a good vibe and that's without nearly passing out.

Does your dh have a fwb?

That sounds very familiar. I thought it was over and then it washed over me all over again!

@Janiie my fwb is not put off. I've sobbed on him before after orgasm. He knew that I did because I do it when I masturbate too!

There are some breathing techniques that involve overloading your body with oxygen. It can be dangerous and should only be attempted carefully and under supervision. I can cause some people to be dizzy, pass out and maybe have panic attacks. It's called controlled hyperventilation or power breathing.

Can you spell out exactly what this monumental effort involved please, in precise detail. Asking for a friend.

Orgasmicreaction · 31/12/2022 09:58

@whoknew123 I couldn't possibly divulge my fwb's magic moves! It was a culmination of many things.

I watched this when it was on TV but had forgotten about it. Thanks for the link. I think it may be a combination of the breathing and the emotion involved in someone actually giving a shit about me.
