Remote control vibrators. The sort that your partner can control with a phone app when they're not even in the same town.
I'm pretty sure Lovense work like that, but the cheaper brands I've found that are app controlled I'm not convinced can be controlled over the Internet.
And I've read stories about them being worn in public. Are they really quiet enough for that?
And can they be controlled while using other apps like voice calls or WhatsApp?

Lovense Ferri is very good and very reliable over WiFi (my partner can be in a hotel the other end of the country and it works just perfectly).

You can't control it using any other app.

It's fairly quiet at low levels. If you plan to wear it in public, you can set a lower power level to make sure you don't accidentally go too loud (or get too carried away!)

There's a few videos on YouTube of people testing it out in public which will give you an idea.

By different apps, I meant that some apps stop when you switch to a other. So I think BBCSounds still plays sounds if you switch to WhatsApp, but Netflix stops.

Lovense has one of the best mobile apps, if not the best, and all products are made of body-safe materials. I recently bought the Lush 2, and the toy is incredible. The app gives several options, and the toy can be controlled from anywhere. I have not used it out of home yet, but I'm living with my parents during this period, and I have to say that it is quiet. Also, I've found an article that maybe help you to understand how the Lovense app works here.

Ah that makes sense. Yes it continues to run if you switch to something else, but it has inbuilt chat and video options too.

That's both useful and worrying. I'm not sure I want voice or especially video attached to my accpunt on a sex toy company's servers.

It works similar to Whatsapp, in that the video and phone function can only be seen by the person you've allowed to see them.

But, the downside to the app is that the person who is controlling can't always see or hear what's happening and whether they're giving you pleasure if the chat and video function isn't on and I would imagine that makes it quite boring for the person controlling.
