Circumcision

My wife much to my gratitude always compliments me on my circumcision.

I had my op a few years back and she really gets turned on by this new look and feel.

Any women here similar in their views to her ?

May I ask how old you are? and how old you were when you had the procedure? I have been thinking about it for medical reasons, and was interested to see how it was having it at later life.

Uap20 · 25/11/2022 15:55

Had it done in my mid 40s. Redundant tight foreskin so it was a no brainer for me.

Happy out and so is herself.

I've had both cut and uncut in long term relationships. It doesn't matter at all during sex. But surely ultimately it really doesn't matter if you truly desire the man you're with.

Namechangeforthis9 · 26/11/2022 14:31

Yes, I'm very much like cut and it turns me on. Lovely look as all exposed and prefer the feel. However my DH wasn't circumcised, sex was good but he also knew how much I liked cut and decided he wanted to have it done, which he has done recently. I made it clear to him he shouldn't feel pressured but he insisted he wanted to.

And yes, I have complemented him on how it looks and when he got back in action, the feel .

But be ready to be flamed as MN users are very anti circumcision, although appreciate you also had a medical reason

cookiecreammmpie · 26/11/2022 16:19

It doesn't bother me either way. I've only been with 2 men who were cut ,one circumcised and one for health reasons. I find it less attractive when the foreskin completely covers the head of penis when flaccid, but not enough to turn me off.

I don't think that people on Mumsnet are anti circumcision per se insofar as if an adult chooses to have one. It's more children having the procedure. I can understand the idea that it's more aesthetically pleasing but as a straight male, I'm probably not going to be very objective as it wouldn't really do it for me either way!

tunthebloodyalarmoff · 27/11/2022 19:38

I think it's so much cleaner to be done

Uap20 · 27/11/2022 21:20

Have to agree. I think if women really realized the reduction in cervical cancers the circumcision rate would vastly increase. Just my opinion.

Women won't realise that as it's a myth that was disproven fifty years ago: www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/letter-circumcision-myths-1175573.html

I like cut, it tends to be naturally cleaner, less scent and fresher even after a days work etc. much nicer for oral sex.

I had it done recently and I'm mid 30's. Probably 75% medical and 25% how i perceived to look circumcised vs uncircumcised.
If you would prefer to PM I am happy to answer any questions you or others might have about the procedure if people would prefer private details.

Its a big decision to make and there really are no stupid questions when it comes to deciding.

I had it done when 33. The foreskin got thighter over the years, should have done it sooner. My doctor suggested to remove all the foreskin but I chose to fix it by only removing it partly. Worked out fine. I remember I read that some guys who had it done as adults complained about being too sensitive… was that no problem?

I found that mine was really sensitive for a few weeks post op. I had to wear tight briefs and couldn't wear boxers because of the sensation of my penis moving when I walked.

By far the worst part was the morning wood. Woke up a few times in agony and was worried every time about popping the stitches

Sens · 30/11/2022 22:31

Ahh… But no issue now?

Yorkieboy · 01/12/2022 06:56

All OK now, there is no additional sensitivity and I can choose whatever clothes I want.

Sex is also much better and more comfortable for myself. The wife also approves of how it looks and feels now

Uap20 · 01/12/2022 11:24

Yeah I am convinced that there are just so many positives for men and women.

But just shoot me for expressing this opinion. I am talking about elective adult circumcision.

I’ve never encountered a circumcised penis but it does look more aesthetically pleasing, I wouldn’t want a man to have one for that reason though.

KSM87 · 07/01/2023 22:45

It’s a topic very much in the news at present thanks to Prince Harry’s book! Like the princes, I was circumcised at birth for non-religious reasons. My wife greatly prefers that I’m circumcised. She is pregnant with our first child (a girl), but if we ever have a son we have decided that he should be circumcised too.

Iloveabaconbutty · 07/01/2023 23:40

I totally get the decision of circumcision on medical grounds but for reasons of aesthetics alone it wouldn't be for me. DW has never expressed a preference one way or another so I assume after 25 years of marriage she's fine with me as I am.

And I think I'd definitely miss the pleasurable feeling of the foreskin moving across the glans during masturbation.

There's no excuse for not keeping clean of course and a thorough wash of everything, foreskin drawn right back during a daily shower and before sex as well if preferred, should sort that.

Totally each to their own with adult men deciding to be circumcised but I do have real questions about baby boys, medical reasons apart, not having the right to choose for themselves what happens to this very significant part of their bodies. I know male circumcision does not have the same awful devastating impact as FGM but surely there is a real issue of consent here also?

Justellingthetruth · 08/01/2023 05:45

@Uap20

adults can do as they please when legal
so happy for you
circumcising male children is child abuse.
it’s the male version of FGM but not as serious in terms of removing pleasure.

Zanatdy · 09/01/2023 07:27

My new bf is circumcised and I like it! First time I’ve given a BJ to someone circumcised recently and I thought it might be a lot different but wasn’t really. I do prefer it, it looks nicer to look at too!! Not that I just sit there staring at it for long!

Zanatdy · 09/01/2023 07:28

My bf had it done as an adult for medical reasons by the way. I don’t agree with the practice of doing it on newborns without anaesthetic at all. I must ask him if he prefers it
