Evra Patch

Hello! Looking to find people who have used Evra Patch as a method of contraception, it's become one of the few suitable options for me to use but wanted to know others experiences before I purchase a subscription of it.
My main concern is what do you do in your "patch free" week, are you still covered? Or do you not have sex during that time
TIA

I use it, it's similar to the combined pill, so yes, if you've used the patches correctly then you'll be covered in the patch-free week. I sometimes run patches together with no break to skip periods like with the pill.

It's good in some ways, no need to worry about being sick etc like you do with the pill, and you only need to remember to change it once a week, not take a pill every day. And you have complete control yourself, unlike the implant, and injection.

But I still can't quite shake the feeling of whether it's working properly, how well is it stuck on etc etc. I'm not in a serious relationship so use as double protection along with condoms and I don't know if I would trust it to use it by itself and not with condoms in addition.

I used it before I had an UID put in, I really like it. The downside was it irritated my skin so I had to change it more often than once a week as I had to change application site.
