I cannot state enough what utter nonsense this is, usually said by men to encourage women to do this. Semen is alkaline, and the skin's natural PH is acidic. There is even something called the acid mantle on skin which is meant to be inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria. If you distrupt that continsuously, it can cause problems. This is also why some women are prone to thrush - the semen distrupts the woman's naturally acidic vaginal PH.
