Men's pubic hair

girlfromyorkshire · 01/09/2022 14:58

What do people think to men removing their pubes and what are men generally doing down there these days? My hubby has trimmed down there for a while but is wanting to go and get his area waxed or lasered to remove it all. I wouldn't have any problem doing this at all but just wondered what others thought?

OP posts:

both beards are neatly trimmed, no plucked turkeys or “shapes” here.

Sparkybloke · 05/10/2022 13:53

I have some pubic hair just above my penis. Testicles and that area pretty hair free. Untamed it all gets a bit of a jungle after a while..

lauraUK1000 · 05/10/2022 18:27

@Yorkieboy My friend who does waxing has said the same, she has a lot of male clients now in the last few years including ones where their wives / girlfriends have originally enquired about getting waxing for their male partner.

My husband has been getting waxed for a good few years now and we both love him being smooth.

StarlightLady · 06/10/2022 07:33

Being a woman of a certain age, I have been asked to trim and shave a few in my time.

l don’t like to see men with an unruly tangled forest. It would seem that beyond the top of the head they are generally less experienced and knowledgable when it comes to grooming and moisturising.

Long hair on men gets sweaty, particularly in the summer and my preference is for them to be all off or closely trimmed.

StarlightLady · 06/10/2022 07:41

PS: l pressed “post” to soon. Men, if you are going to retain hair, at least use shampoo, conditioner and run a comb through it. Few people want to encounter tangled wire.

Sparkybloke · 06/10/2022 07:56

@StarlightLady...couldn't agree more..as mand and a very recent convert to trimmed its lovely

Anotherbloke1 · 06/10/2022 10:10

I wouldn't have the courage to let it all hang out on waxing table. Only time I've got naked in front of others is nudest beach.

Anotherbloke1 · 06/10/2022 10:13

Once read a article from a waxing salon regarding men getting waxed down there, they said there have been few occasions the client got hard, how that is possible is beyond me with all the pain.

Violet90 · 06/10/2022 12:27

I do like it shaved, it’s much better when giving a BJ.

Think of it like going to see a doctor or a nurse about a problem down there. Chances are the person doing the wax has seen and handled plenty so to speak. They won't be bothered by you being naked its just a paying job to them at the end of the day

Anotherbloke1 · 06/10/2022 18:42

I'll stick to shaving for now. Want to know what IPL home kit is like, they are cheap enough.

who died and made you the queen of pubic hair?
who cares what your preferences are, it’s up to the man (or woman) to decide what to do, not you.
if you don’t like someone’s pubes then don’t go near them.

StarlightLady · 06/10/2022 22:44

@Joey69 - I’m a tad perplexed. I do not claim to be the queen of anything or that anyone has died. The OP asked a question on our thoughts, l responded with mine. Nothing more.

Joey69 · 06/10/2022 23:19

@StarlightLady , how can you possibly be perplexed, you have instructed an entire gender what to do based on your own personal preferences, irrespective of what anyone else might think

Men, if you are going to retain hair, at least use shampoo, conditioner and run a comb through it

Sparkybloke · 06/10/2022 23:58

@StarlightLady didn't instruct anyone. She expressed her preference. She prefers groomed men. Good for her I say...we are all free to choose our own styles and entitled to have a preference when it comes to sexual partners....

StarlightLady · 07/10/2022 08:45

In a world where women are often expected to conform to a male perceived stereotype, l do not consider it inappropriate for me to prefer the appearance of someone, be they hairy or not, who has taken the trouble to groom.

And thank you @Sparkybloke .

But you are stating that All MEN should conform to YOUR preference (as one woman), you are not the representative of all females

Sparkybloke · 07/10/2022 09:08

Er..no she isn't @Joey69 . @StarlightLady is saying her preference is for groomed/trimmed males. Presumably she only shares her bed (and makes love) to men who are shaved or groomed. That's is her preference and absolutely her right. She chooses not to share a bed with ungroomed bushy men. She is not saying that men can't choose to be bushy and/or ungroomed...that's is their choice. Her choice is not to like ungroomed or very bushy men...just as its your choice to groom or not and to like women with a bush or with a shaved or trimmed vulva..its all about preference and personal choice. Nobody is right. Nobody is wrong. Nobody is asking anyone to conform. But everyone is entitled to a preference.

Joey69 · 07/10/2022 09:23

@Sparkybloke
err, no, go back and actually read her post, a preference is something that one person likes, not something everyone needs to adhere to,
I don’t care what her (or anyone’s ), preference about anything in the world is, but is not down to one person to dictate that their preference (about anything), is the right way.

Shodan · 07/10/2022 09:36

DP trims his (and his underarms too for that matter) and occasionally shaves his balls, but that's the limit.

He's a very hairy man all over so would look a bit daft with a smooth pubic area.

Fortunately for me he feels the same. I like a hairy man 😁

StarlightLady · 07/10/2022 09:42

For goodness sake, this is a forum on a site largely designed for women (the clue is in the name!) to express views, it is not to dictate. Nor am l trying to. I am not out for a fight.

Groomed means clean, neat and tidy! That’s how l prefer people, regardless of gender.

Andypandy799 · 07/10/2022 17:34

Groomed neat and tidy here, but I draw the line at the balls as the thought of catching them with a razor 🪒 😓

EarthyMother · 07/10/2022 22:14

I prefer natural/trimmed/groomed.

Hair free is a turn-off for me.

inininsomnia · 08/10/2022 03:24

I prefer men a bit hairy, definitely not smooth. All personal preference of course, although @StarlightLady's request for any pubic hair to be nicely washed (and brushed if longer) is more than reasonable to expect of any partner.

Without trying to be rude, I can see you have a preference, but it’s probably the way you communicate that preference as a matter of fact rather than just a preference that has annoyed someone , like the sentence below, it looks like you are simply telling men what to do, not passing an opinion based on your preference

Men, if you are going to retain hair, at least use shampoo, conditioner and run a comb through it
