orgasm headaches

My girlfriend has started to suffer from orgasm headaches. She says as the build up starts the headache begins and becomes more and more intense as the orgasm approaches, and then she says she has to stop as the headache is too much and it prevents her from reaching the climax. PIV orgasms are okay as she says they're less intense, more gentle and flowing, it's the clitoris stimulating intense ones that are causing the headaches. She says it's very frustrating. We're a fairly new couple just in the last few months so sex is pretty much full on atm. On Sunday she took some Anadin and Ibuprofin which seemed to fix it for Sunday afternoon but then it returned again on Monday morning. She also said she started to get a headache again through the day yesterday at work. She has an appointment at the doctors but can't see them until Friday, there's a 10day waiting list at our surgery so it's been nearly a week already. She's 50 & Im 53 btw. Has anyone else had experience of this and if so how did you manage to cure it?

Yes it happened to me a few times this year. Really annoying. I read up on my specific symptoms and was reassured. I was incredibly stressed at the time it was happening and am a bit better, plus our sex life has calmed down a little bit. Painkillers and plenty of water to drink helped.

okay thanks for the replies, yep she has an appointment on Friday.
hmmm.. it could well be stress related, her 21yr old niece is in hospital with Leukaemia and itโ€™s not looking good unfortunately. Her husband passed away with Leukaemia 15yrs ago and her niece is in the same hospital, same ward, seeing the same doctor ๐Ÿ˜
