VCH piercing

Before the 2020 lockdown I was thinking about having a vertical clitoral hood (VCH) piercing and I've now decided to take the plunge. I'd done a bit of research and found it's the simplest sort, quickest to heal, etc. I'm not especially into piercings, don't know anything about aftercare etc. although I'm assuming I'll be told all that. Just had my ears pierced years ago - but thought this would be nice/fun for him and for me. Thinking about a small barbell for jewellery, at least at first although there seems to be loads of options online. Pros, cons? Any handy practical advice/info would be great.

Made me so sensitive! I love it, never regretted getting it done and yes healed very quickly for me, a sharp pain when getting it done. Like it was being pinched but not much paid afterwards

I had mine done 4 weeks ago. I'm not going to lie... it hurt like a bastard! But was over very quickly. Cost £110 including jewellery.

The bar is curved with balls on the end, exactly the same as a navel bar. You initially have a longer bar which you can change for a shorter one once it's healed.

Was given a bottle of spray salt water to use twice a day and advised to leave well alone and avoid heavily perfumed soap.

It was a little tender for a couple of weeks but not too bad. Worst was when I sat down quickly in tight jeans... made me wince!

It takes 8-12 weeks to fully heal so I'm not allowed back in my hot tub just yet..! That's been frustrating.

I was able to have sex after a week but DP stayed well away from my clit. After a couple of weeks it was comfortable to touch and I love how it feels now. I'm not conscious of it day to day but stimulation during sex feels much more intense.

I had mine done last year. Sound similar to you, only previous piercing was my ears. I found out by chance that DH thought the idea of a clitoral hood piercing incredibly arousing.

I thought about it for a while (through lockdowns!) and had a bit of a "what the hell moment"..After discussing it with a mate who has had some done (nipple) and she said would be great surprise and gift to him.

She suggested we both go together and she knew a really good professional studio. I went when DH was away with work abroad for 10 days. Can't say I wasn't nervous, as I was, especially having an unknown guy seeing my bare fanny! Did it hurt? Yes a little. He had used a freeze spray and I also took a soluble pain killer before. The pain was literally momentary though. I really liked the look and was something I looked forward to DH seeing for the first time. I waited until the weekend after he got home as he was jet-lagged but we had a really lovely date night at an expensive restaurant with me having some rather nice and expensive lingerie, including an open fronted thing.

Put it like this, he hasn't had multiple orgasms for a while but he did that night. I haven't had any complications with it and DH always compliments the look and how much he loves I've had it done.

Thank you. It sounds like the initial discomfort is well worth it! I must say I'm not wild at the thought of a complete stranger at such close quarters with my bits either! Just so long as I don't bump into them in the queue in Sainsburys the next day!

Yes has been worth it. I love how much DH likes it as well.

I would like to be daring and have nipples done but I think is a step too far. I am a senior professional in my field and all I fear is them showing through my bra like you see with some celebs that have it done

Honestly I wouldn’t bother. I had it done and it healed great, even had sex that night (probably wouldn’t recommend) but it made me no more sensitive, if anything it made play harder and constantly having to work around it. Took it out before I gave birth and never put it back in.

@Blushingm ...the issue is I don't want them showing wearing a blouse at work! It so bothered wearing a bikini on holiday

I got my VCH pierced about 15 years ago and I love it and never regretted getting it done. The initial idea was from my husband but I decided to go for it after some research. I've had a curved titanium barbell in since I had it done, usually with 6mm balls on it and it sits against my clit hood very nicely. I've tried 8mm and 10mm balls on it also which feel nice but become much more visible, especially in a bikini.

I have a couple of closest girlfriends that know I have it, my waxer has seen it obviously and doctor / nurse also.

A few years ago I just decided I wanted my nipples done too. They took a good while to heal but have been fine since and I really love how they look. My husband thinks there amazing and loves that I have them.

@lauraUK1000 do they not show through with fitted tops? That's what concerns me. Not worried so much away in holiday, but it wouldn't go down well at work lol

@Namechangednorth If I did not wear a bra then they would but for work etc. and places where I wouldn't want them to be seen I usually am. In an unlined bikini top they are very visible but I don't care in this situation and if I do then a bikini top with padding hides them.

Nips you have to be careful with as they can get snagged. They are sensitive but these are more for decoration as they look really nice I think. Clit hood piercing is great, day to day I don't notice it that much but when rubbing it is really nice and having a vibrator against it is amazing and definitely adds something extra.

@lauraUK1000 yes VCH with a curved barbell sounds amazing for my wife. I love the idea of it running the length of her hood and gently stimulating her. It would be her naughty little secret. She's outwardly shy and comes from a moderately conservative Indian background. But she also has a bit of a wild side and talks about getting one done. Maybe she'll surprise me one day. Good for you for getting it done and keeping it so long! I bet sex is amazing with it.

That would be a step too far for me! Not because l think there is anything wrong with it, l think they look pretty, but because I’m a coward. In addition, l had my naval pierced on 2 separate occasions and both times the body rejected it.

l did have my nose pierced (tiny diamond stud) earlier this year though (l’m in my 40s) which has healed beautifully and at the end of the summer (when it’s too cold for sea swimming) I’m going to get one nipple pierced. If that heals nicely, l’ll get the second one done.

VCH; Sex for me is always with a woman, so much more 'handling' in that area, sometimes enthusiastic bordering on the rough. Would it be possible to continue or would it be too sensitive. Could it pull and tear the flesh?

I’ve had a VCH for a few years now and have sex with women. From personal experience enthusiastic is fine but very rough whilst it may not tear but I would think the fear of it possibly tearing will cause anxiety and the pleasure will be lost.
