I gave up masterbation for lent. I thought it ended on the 14th so I was going at it (I didn’t come or feel pleasure). I only stopped when I read that it ends at Easter Sunday. Sad I’m really gutted as this was my first time at lent, would you say I broke it? Or because I didn’t come my attempt still counts

No it doesn't count. How the hell did you manage to stop though?? I know once I start there's no way on earth I am able to stop halfway...

TonyBlairsLover · 16/04/2022 21:08

@Furrbabymama87 because I was Googling whilst doing it and I panicked Grin

Of course it counts. Just not as much as if you'd held out till Easter. Starting again during Holy Week though 🤣🤣

StarlightLady · 17/04/2022 08:10

If l tried that it would make me very grumpy!

Why not do something that benefits others instead?

everywhichway · 17/04/2022 08:12

Good works about the parish Starlight?

saleorbouy · 17/04/2022 09:47

Why don't you ask your priest if it counts?

Catullus5 · 17/04/2022 10:50

You can do good works for others throughout the year. Lent is about self-denial although I'll stick to giving up alcohol, chocolate and things like that.
