DP and I have always been keen on photography between the two of us and we are both quite turned on by the thought of a professional erotic photographer doing a portfolio of me. Got all sorts of feelings about this
and would value any advice or experience of this from anyone else?

Is dp any good with a camera? He could do it himself

If you are sure you want some photographs to be proud of get a professional. You can always tell the difference.
We found some historic prints when clearing a house. These were, I think by a very skilled amateur, very good but they just lacked Zing IYKWIM. The pics were hidden away because they were family and friends, 20 yr old women.

We had a good friend (wife oldest girlfriend) take some pics of us
all just nice naked pics (not porno )
was a fun evening and we have some lovely pictures of us on our bedroom wall
we have all seen each other naked on the beach etc so was no issue for us to relax

The process of being photographed by a professional isn’t very sexy. Even with a very experienced and skilled photographer it’ll be a lot of being positioned / asked to position your arm / leg / head this way and that way, by somebody who doesn’t know what makes you or your DP tick. The photos can also look very forced and cliché erotic.

Agree that having a friend as the photographer can result in better chemistry and thus better photos. I have a great erotic shoot of me and a friend taken by her husband - but it wasn’t ever an intentional photoshoot, we were all on a weekend break away with a group of other friends, he’d brought his new brilliant camera, we were all quite drunk and exploring the amazing grounds of the country villa in our swimwear, and the scene just sort of set itself. I think if you can get that sort of almost off-the-cuff spontaneity with somebody you know, you’ll like the photos a lot more.

My then Bf was always keen on erotic photographs but we never tried. We were getting married and a friend had some pre wedding pics done, nice with boudoir type but it was an option at the end to have some more risqué done. She recommended the studio..professional set up and no pressure so I decided to try for some pre wedding pics as well. Not with an intention to go for the more risqué, but nice clothed, with sexy lingerie. DH to be wasn't aware...was a secret to be a gift to him.

As the session progressed I felt comfortable to try going a little further, started more raunchy poses, then lifting my breast over my bra but eventually went full risqué, legs open and holding thong to one side. The photographer suggested poses but didn't push it...seemed to naturally progress

The pics were lovely quality and I gave the set to husband on our wedding night to peruse whilst I got changed. He was absolutely blown away and loved them. I'm really glad I did them and he loves getting them out and looking again when we are in bed and him complimenting me.

I'm not sure about having done by a friend though!!
