Is my vulva normal?

I could ask this on the health topic, but I don't fancy it being on the active list. I've been a member of MN for over 10 years, I haven't name changed or anything. I just don't want you to think I'm taking the piss.

I couldn't sleep last night, and I was mindlessly scrolling FB, and I saw a picture of an art piece that was meant to represent what vulvas look like. None of them looked like mine.

I searched on MN, and could only see a thread on FWR, saying that no one naturally looks like they don't have a labia, that women aren't barbie dolls, but that's exactly what I look like down there.

Anyway I've realised that I don't actually have a labia, literally, I look like a fucking mannequin, I saw one article that said some women have cosmetic surgery to remove their labia, but can't find anything to say it's normal to naturally look like this.

I know it's a weird to ask, I mean there's nothing wrong with my sexual function, but I think being I have such a self hatred of my body, this is just something else. It is normal right?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, I'd just like some opinions if that's OK?

All labia are different. Some have no visible inner lips, others do. There is no “normal” and unless what you have is causing you pain or discomfort it’s nothing to worry about.

There really is no normal. Some women have labia minora that aren’t visible, some protrude, some are asymmetrical, much the same as labia majora, they also vary in shape/size.

I have seen quite a few vulvae in my time and can assure you that looking like Barbie with no visible labia is entirely normal. Indeed my partner has a vulva that looks exactly the same as yours.

Oh thank you everyone, I'm relieved that it's normal, and that my vulva is indeed represented on the beautiful great wall of vaginas.

I'm having a lot of realisations about myself, including sexuality, I am bisexual, and I was worried that my vulva was weird. I know they come in all shapes, sizes and colours. I suppose I was worried another woman would be turned off by it, but it's normal so that's not a worry anymore.

OP, you sound suitably reassured, but to add to other’s comments, we are just as different as our faces, maybe more so.

No likeminded woman will have any problems, l assure you.

I'm the same I think, no visible labia minora. Everything very tucked away and neat. Only bit of me that is 😂
