Death grip... too much wanking makes the man unable to ejaculate when having sex with a woman?

True or not? I've had mixed opinions on this - some say it's not a thing others say it certainly is. It ticks all the boxes in regards to my experience with one man. Before this I'd never even heard of death grid.

Would be interesting to also get a man's POV.

@Palmfrond

I’m a man, and I’ve done a lot of wanking in my time and a fair bit of sexing. My thoughts;
  1. If “death grip” anorgasmia, like so much other chlorinated tripe in our current culture, is an American import, it might be something valid to do with men who have been circumcised. Personally I have no idea how one would go about wanking without a foreskin, but I can imagine it involves friction, chafing, and maybe some death gripping?
  2. Libido is on an axis of output/input, and this becomes more important and tenuous as one ages. Personally I have small children and my partner and I will schedule in sex ahead of time. Sexy, yes, I know. Anyway I won’t wank for 24 hrs or so before a session is scheduled, as I’m in my 40s and tragically there is just not that much lead in my pencil anymore. Wanking on the other hand I still do once, sometimes twice a day. It’s a completely different thing, physically and psychologically.
If you stop wanking, you might find more lead in your pencil after 40.

No lead in your pencil is a result of.
Too much masturbation.
Fat- poor diet.
Poor fitness levels.

Or a combination of all 3.
The cumulative effect of not taking care of yourself during your life is poor performance in bed and a whole host of other health implications.

If you really want to know about ED, listen to this pot cast, it’s from a menopause site, It says ED is due to heart issues unless proven otherwise, it’s a fascinating listen,

This.

I would add it's important to separate a) ED b) desensitisation c) failure to orgasm and d) general lack of libido.

All can have different causes (which may overlap).

Cardiovascular health is important as is maintaining a healthy weight, they're both connected.
So dad bods are out, they were never a good idea in the first place.

Some people use it so they can watch porn for ages without cumming

Confusednet · 15/01/2022 11:44

@AdamRyan interesting. Thank you.

My ex wanked about three times a week and he never had an issue finishing during sex. So I don’t think it’s true for energy man that does this.

bedtimeisthebest · 17/01/2022 08:45

I wank about three times a week and mange to have sex with my wife, my FWB and both man and woman in our couple with benefits on a regular basis and always mange to cum.

Not even a hint of Humble in that Brag...

Death Grip is so massively overused on here. Any male issues, it's porn/death grip/objectification not things like ED/stress/other mental blocks.

I've had times when I struggle to let go and once you start to think about it, down you go.

Men have far less control over things than they are given credit for.

But just to be clear, the article does not suggest that edging is 'death grip' or that it reduces sexual performance.

🤣🤣 3 times a week. I don't think they're talking about 3 times a week more like 6 to 15 times a day.
Some men are addicted.

6 to 15 times a day Jeez, mine would come off if I was pulling the pud 15 times a day, let alone have enough time to do anything else.

Is anything coming out after 15 times in one day, and every day?
Hrpuffnstuff1 · 21/01/2022 09:19

Exaggerated point maybe, but excessive masturbation isn't a good idea.

The best way to stop erection/performance issues is to be:
Fit
Healthy weight
Stay away from porn.
Don't drink too much especially before dtd.

Catullus5 · 21/01/2022 17:40

My 15-year old self from some decades back (before the era of Internet porn I might add) says a definite No.

Dustyplumber · 21/01/2022 19:45

Catallus5 LOL!!!

Eesha · 23/01/2022 06:53

I think there's a bit more to this than just porn. There are many reasons why a man can't cum, same for a woman. I've met men with erectile issues who are drinkers or with depression or victims of abuse. I can imagine if you do watch loads of porn, you get into that zone of not wanting anyone in real life. My partner doesn't masturbate at all, weird I know, but he stopped a few years back thinking he didn't like who he had become through watching porn.

Pky45 · 23/01/2022 08:36

My partner has gone through menopause and her sex drive has completely disappeared now, so porn is my only of sexual pleasure now, so too early too tell ☺️

j712adrian · 23/01/2022 09:22

This is just evil Christian fundamentalist nonsense masquerading as a none-too-convincing old wives' tale.
