When do the Spanx come off?!

Been on several dates with a guy I really like - think tonight will be the night we dtd for the first time. Just wondered how others dealt with the issue of shapewear - do you make a discreet trip to the bathroom and wrestle out of it at some point during the evening? Will he be alarmed if I come back from the bathroom and suddenly appear to be six months pregnant? Seems pretty unsexy to just let him see me in them... How do others manage this?!

Another thought. If you really are not confident without any form of shapewear, a number of high street shops sell hold your tummy in thongs, which provide a nicer line than Bridget stuff. I have some for certain dresses.

But personally, if the objective is getting a seeing to, l wouldn’t bother.

You could argue that many of our grandmothers and some of our mothers did! Back then they were called open bottomed girdles. Then as skirts got shorter, panty girdles became the thing. In theory to keep our tummies in. In reality to keep the boys out.
