I don't know where I'm going with this. But this has literally never happened to me before.
Walking past a guy in a shopping centre. Our eyes met, and stayed met. The whole time we passed each other. Everyone covid-masked up. He with his family, me with mine.
Like actual sparks, really odd. Intriguing, exciting. And puzzling.

Does this happen to other people?

Ha yes it does. Of course. It’s one of the great perks of being alive …

It’s very exciting. Try looking up more in the shopping centre. There will probably be more of these passing husbands … yes, it’s like living a whole life with him in a few seconds … the love of your life, in a parallel universe … just enjoy the moment’s connection.

I know it also feels sad because you will never have it for real. But it can’t be any other way.
