Lubricant

I was using a lot of lubricant when I lost my virginity with my ex boyfriend 7 years ago. Over the past years, I ordered a dilator which ranges from the small size to big size. Now his penis goes in me without lube.

My question is, isn't it better to have sex without lubricant as then you have more of a feeling?

Do you think lubricant effects sex?

If you've found this page in search of lubes that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best lubricants useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

You need to be wet ,whether that's natural lubricant or shop bought.
Sex can be very painful and uncomfortable for all involved if not wet enough.

I would say it is better as long as you do get wet enough during foreplay. If not then better to use lube otherwise it will make you sire and prob hurt.

But it also depends on his size. As you have used a dilator as long as you get wet then prob fine. Just go slowly and if it feels you need lube then just use a tiny amount

Yes. Lubricant is vital.

Is there any foreplay or prep before penetration or are you literally just going straight in? Being able to accommodate a penis is one thing but you need to be well lubricated (naturally or otherwise) for it to be comfortable and to reduce the risk of causing you or him any harm in term of tears or abrasions to the delicate tissues. If it’s just a case of not producing enough of your own lubricant during foreplay and needing to top up with synthetic, that’s fair enough but I would urge you to explore more foreplay to prepare you adequately if you aren’t already. Your OP doesn’t make it clear.

I’m in my 30’s and have never felt the need to use lubricant. If you have enough foreplay, so you’re wet and ready for penetration, then you won’t need to use lubricant anymore.
