To ask if you’ve ever had a sexual dream about a friend?

DreamsRMadeOfThis · 03/02/2021 13:53

Name changed for obvious reasons.

I know many people admit to having had sexual dreams about celebrities, and those are viewed as harmless, after all, you’re not likely to ever meet the person in question.

But last night I had quite a vivid sexual dream about a friend of mine. he is someone I’ve known for many years, we have never slept together, neither would I ever consider sleeping with him, until last night. And when I woke up this morning I remember thinking that that was a bloody awesome experience. Blush

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

FWIW I’m never going to be in a position to sleep with him now or ever, but the fact it was someone I actually know in person threw me somewhat.

Yes. Very enjoyable he was very good in my dream Smile

DreamsRMadeOfThis · 03/02/2021 14:06

@ Lockheart I wasn’t asking for details, just if it had happened to anyone else.

No. But as others have said, if you’d like sharing then there are boards and forums for that.

TillyTopper · 03/02/2021 14:09

Yeah, it has happened. Mine involved a female friend and I'm a straight female. I wouldn't worry about it - enjoy it then forget it!

DreamsRMadeOfThis · 03/02/2021 14:12

@ Bluntness100 and again. I wasn’t asking for people to share details. Or do you just deliberately misread posts so you can comment according to what you think someone wants to know?

Only the one I subsequently married ...

Fastedbrownie · 03/02/2021 14:17

No, but only last night I dreamed I was a friend, and I/she got kidnapped by a sex murder cult with a funny name I now can't remember. Luckily I was awoken before any dirty stuff happened.

Hi everyone,
We're struggling to see how a dream can be either reasonable or unreasonable so we're moving this thread to the topic where it belongs...

StarlightLady · 03/02/2021 14:34

No name change here. We are talking dreams after all. Yes, I have.

I am a very light sleeper and have some bizzarre dreams. If I worried about the things that happen in them I would drive myself insane. They are just dreams, and completely devoid of meaning.

AintPageantMaterial · 07/02/2021 23:45

With a colleague whom I thought was a pleasant and amusing colleague but whom I genuinely did not fancy. Mind blowing in my dream

DivorcedAndDelighted · 12/02/2021 21:35

Yes!! I had a lovely dream last year where I was in bed after having apparently had a lovely time, feeling warm and fuzzy, and this male friend brought me the perfect cup of tea. The dream surprised me because I'd not had a sexual dream for years and was still feeling emotionally badly damaged from divorce. I thought my heart was frozen solid and I couldn't bear the idea of any sort of relationship. I'd not consciously thought of the friend in that way, even though he is good looking and we get on well. I realised that this was a sign of recovery and that maybe one day I'd be able to have some sort of relationship again, and that I certainly wanted a sex life. Fast forward a few months and there was a real-life spark between that friend and me. I proposed a friends - with - benefits set-up because I wanted sex, but couldn't bear the thought of having a boyfriend and all the emotional stress that would involve. A few months down the line, my dream has come true, I've had some of the best sex of my life, and my heart has defrosted a bit. I can see that one day I'll hopefully be able to have a "normal" relationship. FWB and I get along brilliantly but we're both badly scarred from divorce and not an obvious match. I've no idea where things will go between us, but I'm trying not to second guess, and just enjoying what's happening now. So yeah, I had one of those dreams, and it started something positive and healing and I'm very glad Smile

wishfuldreamer · 15/02/2021 14:48

I don't tend to remember dreams that clearly, but friends definitely have always snuck into my (awake) masturbatory fantasies (sometimes deliberate on my part, sometimes without my conscious intention to conjure them up!).

I don't generally see it as a problem - though when i was in a monogamous relationship, i did occasionally feel a little guilty - it's a bit different to a dream, though I'm still not sure I needed to feel guilty.

Thewildthingsliveatmyhouse · 15/02/2021 15:59

I have, quite often. Enjoy 🙂

More work colleagues than friends! Always wake up with a snails on my face when it happens!

If you're waking up with snails on your face, it sounds like you had an adventurous night ending up in a ditch Grin
