Orgasm headache

Does anyone here suffer with orgasm headaches?

I had one last night for the first time ever, tbh I never suffer headaches of any kind.

It was bloody awful, I felt so sick. Didnt vomit though. Dh was lovely, I went to the toilet but moving didnt help and I ended up sitting on the toilet for 10 mins while it passed. I went to bed still feeling really nauseous.

I've read online if it's your first one you should speak to a gp and I will on monday but I was just curious of others experiences.

Today i feel awful. Really anxious and weak/tired and have some low level sinus pain. I'm concerned that actually this isnt normal and if it was just a orgasm headache it would have cleared by now?

I used to get them, I also get migraines and was seeing a neurologist for nerve issues in my face and head. I had to be quite careful that I wasn't holding my breath or tensing my body, it was worse if I was already a bit congested (also chronic sinus issues) and after a few months they went away. There are some medications you can take half an hour or so before you get down to business if it happens a lot.

I do have chronic sinusitis, and did feel congested yesterday morning. My head just feels so heavy today. Thanks for sharing your experience

Yes I get these. Usually I think it's because I hold my breath a lot dying sex.

Orgasm usually clears my head. It might not be the orgasm that caused it if it was a one off.

I recently had to use some medication that gave me headaches generally and splitting sharp migraine type headache after orgasm, took a while to realise that was what was causing them - turns out the medication raises your blood pressure.
Stopping that medication stopped them.

So I wonder if orgasm raises your blood pressure and if your blood pressure is already raised for some reason then it's a double whammy for the headache? Decongestant can raise your blood pressure, you say you were bunged up, maybe you had taken a decongestant?

I’ve had these on occasion if it’s all over with very quickly!

The headache is intense but passes in seconds.

I had a couple about 6 months ago and have had them on the odd occasion before but nothing since.

One interesting thing I discovered recently is that organisations can also trigger temporary tinnitus.

That was most unexpected!

Obviously not organisations...my phone clearly doesn't know me!
