Kegels - do they make a difference?

Help! I'm stressing about my foof after sleeping with new man...
Anyone got 'before' and 'after' experience on if it makes a difference to the feel of sex?

Why are you stressing, did he say something? IMO They do make a difference, i've had four vaginal births, but I've done kegals religiously for years, my gynecologist said my pelvic floor is so strong she couldn't believe I'd had one baby let alone four Grin I use vaginal weights and ben wa balls too which are really good at toning the pelvic floor. Do you know how to do kegals? Download the squeezey App if you don't already have it. Keep at it for 6 months, you will be amazed

Kegels!*

Lena007 · 09/11/2020 22:17

@VioletSunset how often do you exercise and use the vaginal weights?

Was your pelvic floor always so strong?

VioletSunset · 09/11/2020 22:41

I do kegels 3 times a day, and I use the weights around 3 times a week for 20 -30 minutes at a time. It has always been pretty strong, I started doing them when pregnant with DC1 which was over 10 years ago now. I had my babies young which has possibly helped, as I was able to 'bounce back' very quickly after birth so to speak

Violet - thank you! I'll get the app. What make weights /balls do you recommend?
He didn't say anything, he's just a bit smaller than I'm used to and I'm cringing - I couldn't really feel much, now terrified I have a bucket fanny! ShockConfused

Thank you, ordered those!
What do the balls do that the peardrops don't?

I find they are easier to wear whilst i go about my business, but i don't think there's much difference to the weights overall

Lena007 · 10/11/2020 09:12

Thanks. It would also be interesting to hear from someone who managed to improve from weak pelvic floor to a strong one and say what the difference is

VistaOfFreedom · 10/11/2020 12:57

Those weights on the link get very good reviews!
I've started with the squeeze appSmile

I’ve used kegel balls in the past and I found I had much stronger orgasms. Might have been an age thing though. Or a combination?

Op "he's a bit smaller than I'm used to"...
I'm not saying pelvic floor exercises are a bad thing, but did you ever think the problem might be him not you?

It's quite possible he simply doesn't know how to make the best of what he's got. Smaller men sometimes struggle, and no, I'm not speaking from experience, just I've heard that from others.

I use the Elvie pelvic floor trainer, which is a device you put in your vagina to squeeze & it has a Bluetooth connection to your phone, giving you feedback on how you're doing in a range of exercises. Previously I've done kegels and used pelvic floor weights but I was never sure if I was doing it right, and I think the angle of my anatomy after having multiple kids means that the weights stay there if pushed in far enough regardless of what I do. Think different equipment and techniques will work for different people.

I get on well with the Elvie. I committed to using it regularly a couple of months ago and I think it has made a big difference. In fact I'm not really sure how much the amazing sex at the moment is due to a good fit with new fella, and how much is a boost due to pelvic floor improvement. But I can certainly feel for myself that, when I switch on my pelvic floor muscles, I can feel everything tighter. It was worth the effort!

Blimey, I thought you were going to give me a roasting for that comment Blush I don't know, not sure there's much I can do if that's the case

@VistaOfFreedom
Not at all! I'm much more open minded than that!! Smile

You could try experimenting with different positions. Some work better for the less well endowed - just maybe don't tell him why.. Confused
